On January 31, 1990 I was introduced to the fellowship
of
Narcotics Anonymous. On that day I met some people who
believed in their hearts and showed in their actions that
the tired old lie ........
...once an addict .. always an addict...
is
DEAD...
.....and that no addict seeking recovery need ever die in
the horror of
active addiction!!! Thanks to the twelve steps and the
twelve traditions of Narcotics Anonymous and the love of a
power greater than myself, I haven't found it necessary to
use since that day!!!
My recovery has had it's ups and downs just like anyone
else's...but today there is a lot of FUN IN RECOVERY!!!
