Edward Leroy Snyder provided me with this interesting story on the Snyder line: William was a Watch repairman and Barber. He followed the Wheat thrashing machines around Eastern Oregon and Washington States William and Ella were taken care of financially by John Wesley (Doc) Snyder. He owned several trucks, repair shops and wreking yards in Yakima. Leroy worked for Doc most of his life. William ran a barber shop in Enterprise, Oregon for thirty five years per obituary. E.F.Snyder, husband of the dead woman ,lives in Yakima. The couple had been seperated some time ago, according to persons at her boarding house here. Claude Snyder it was said , had been much in her company since she came to Portland. E.F.Snyder, husband of the dead woman, received the notice through the police department on Thursday concerning the mysterious disappearence of his wife. He left immediatley for Portland to look after a young daughter who had been living with her mother. Mr. Snyder has been residing with his father , 1206 Lincoln Ave. OBITUARY Funeral services for Pearl Snyder wife of Edward Snyder, who disappeard last Monday from the place where she had been staying in Portland and was found Thursday when taken from the Willamette river in which it is thought she committed suicide will be held at Shaw and Sons Chapel tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. The deceased was 24 years of age and had spent several months working in Portland. She is survived by a son 3 years old. Mr. Snyder brought the body from Portland, arriving this moring. Mrs Snyder left Yakima 8 or 9 months ago. She worked in the woolen mills at Portland. After spending several months there Mr. Snyder returned to Yakima.
