.I live near Disney World, so I grew up a fan of Disney cartoons. When they started having regular series like Duck Tales back in the 80's I was hooked. So I was watching Aladin on a local station when I saw this add for a new series that was going to debut in October of 1994. It looked interesting. Then we bought A Nightmare before Christmas Well in the previews there was one for this video that had the same title as the series that was going to premiere.
Yes both movie and series was titled Gargoyles. I was hooked since the first episode.
"This is a Disney cartoon?" I asked. The animation was better than the previous series they churned out. As I watched I couldn't believe all it contained. References to Shakespeare and Camelot. Characaters from all walks of mythology. Sci fi and Fantasy, and the voice casting was superb.
It lasted two seasons, and The Goliath Chronicles. It has aired on the USA Network, and Jetix but now the only place you can find it is on Toon Disney.
