RHUBARB

I tried to comb my hair but I was out of toilet paper and the brush was out of reach so I leaned back and thought of daisies being crushed by an elephant with a beard picking peanuts out of my teeth and smiling. He looked at me with deep blue eyes but I was out of mayonaise and the jelly smelled funny. So off he went into his convertable and drove to the island from which he came leaving nothing but a memory of beauty.

When

When the world was clear and youth was present

mind was of the essence

the trees blew without worry

and we played till our

eyes

were to heavy to open

nothing was beautiful

for ours was of innocence

shed with maturity.

Empty Smiling Eyes

Empty smiling eyes

try to hide

insignificant

in our time

a tale told long

when we are young

of blood and tears and separate fears

youth is a guideline for old to follow

melting through an empty hollow

of the earth for which we steer

through a mass of molten years

disintegration, interpretation

utilization of integration

mutilation of all our past

to the last

of days

and weeks gone by

in our empty

smiling eyes.

Equinox

I sit and wait and while I wait I sit, a hairless dog just walked past me

a cold breeze emanating from no where and me without a toothbrush

it sure is a long way from here to eternity

but thats what they said when they said it

a bright light blinded me through a translucent window

who wants to be sculptured from stone

right now someone is playing with himself

a dark cloud formed over my house today and sucked up all the water from my pool

a small girl with a flower in her hair spun around all day long

sounds like a polka with a twist of lime

daylight makes me tired

good day.

Lost

Look at the poor, poor bird

flying aimlessly through a concrete jungle

never knowing what could have been

from tree to tree

brown leaves fall on manicured grounds

sounds of nature not to be found

hustle and bustle of everyday

taking away

everything

but the birds never complain

still singing

for what

to whom

questions deserve an answer

to deaf ears

and tears of red

the nests remain ever empty

Vision of Grandeur

Anticipation of what may be

we wait

rain falls

sounds like broken glass

no where left to go

no one knows

smells like summer

we wait

morning comes

all is clear

nothing left to fear

ourselves shattered

like the glass

anticipation of tomorrow

no one knows

like the glass

broken.

De

Oh Leonardo

where is thou heart

shadows of animosity cut them apart

to other dimensions of utter chaos

integrity no longer burns the sun

are we done

with all that nuance

of thoughts and patterns

true to us

or did we end the dream begun

today is no longer here

separated and shunned away

wasted time, wasted time

oh Leonardo

humanity is wasting my time.

DEPARTURE

In the blue, blue sky

a statue of greek with a tear in his eye

flys apart from the underworld

untold of things on the ground

in the deep, dark forest for which we've found

a forest of green

which seems

to be

needless to say

apart from the everyday

to an open field where flowers grow

uniformity

inside of me

beyond the space of intellectual minds

to grasp a thought beyond our reach

to a crowded beach

where time stands still

filled and broken

yet standing strong

belong

told of events still to come

to what validity do we hum

a chance, a possibility

a little ditty

to sureal for explantation

or contemplation

manipulation

of humanity or insanity

christianity.

EMERALD

I live in an abstract world

with sights and sounds only

I can taste

will you lick me between the ears

entranced in your ominous sculpture

bleed me through my fingertips

and massage my soul with your thoughts

enter me when I enter you

sight is possible with eyes closed

do you hear the sand

falling

through the hourglass

tell me your deepest secret

and laugh.
