As of Febuary 27th H.H.A.R.T. is an officialy reconized club! On the 27th plantiffs from H.H.A.R.T. took the Cheery Creek School district to federal court for discrimination under the Egual Access Act and under the First Ammendment. There were about a half dozen members scheduled to testify but it was not nessicary we were gramted all we asked for durring forced talks between our lawyers.
--This group is the only one of it's kind in the Cheery Creek School District.
--It involves BOTH Hetrosexual and homosexual students
--Creates a suportive atmosphere within the school for straight and gay students to interact and socialize.
What is it?
An afterschool club for gay, lesbian, bisexual, questioning youth and their straight allies. This group meets every Tuesday and is open to all Smoky Hill students and Alumni regardless of sexual orentation.

The overall purpose of this group is to create an accepting and positive enviroment in which students of all backrounds and orentations may explore who they are, make friends, and disscuss gay/straight issues. Along with this, group members have the opertunity to help raise the awareness of their peers concerning gay issues through posters, anouncements and speeking publicly.
