Prologue

This is a fictional story about the famous pop group Hanson. The main Character, Judith, is a 14-year-old girl who lives in Tulsa, OK. When This story starts out, Hanson has finished the Middle of Nowhere, and "Mmmbop" has hit the charts and become a hit. But there're still People who doesn't know about them. People like Judith. To describe Judith, hmm... That's a trip. She has her own looks, very unique. Her long blonde hair is wavy and she always has it in two braids or a low pony tail. Her green eyes are even greener with her green contacts. She used to have glasses, but changed them. They were in the way when she skated. Oh yeah, Judith or Judy, as her friends call her, she skates. And she's really good at it too. She dresses in normal baggy clothes. Mostly baggy jeans and big T-shirts. When we come into the story, Judith's mother has just died. Her best friends, Kara, Brooke, Georgette and Chris, are very concerned about their friend. They've decided that they're going to help Judith trough this traumatic stage. Judith, by the way, isn't all-sad. Her parents were divorced, so she didn't see her mom that much and when she saw her, she was always busy with her medication or her book about her life. Judith's mother was a world famous actress, and when she now suddenly died in cancer, it hit the world with shock. During her illness she wrote a book. She never finished it. Judith had promised her mom that she would finish the last chapter. It felt really pathetic when she promised her mom, Eline to do that "last favor", but suddenly it became important. Judith's family consists of: Her dad, Danny 40 y/o. Her little sister, Samantha 12 y/o and Danny's girlfriend, Barbara also 40 y/o. The whole family lived in a normal 3-story house in the central part of Tulsa. Now you people know a little more about Judith and her "closers" life. This story takes part when the summer break is over and fall is here. Judith and her friends start school and this is how it all begins. A sad beginning always ends with a happy ending... or?

Chapter 1

Judith Ellison tiredly gazed out from the car window. Her father, Danny was driving her to her school. "Anxious to meet your friends again?" he asked, taking a left turn. "I guess. I met Kara yesterday, but I haven't seen the others during the whole summer." Judith replied with her voice filled with boredom. Danny looked at his daughter. "Com'on, I know you're sad about---" Danny trailed off when he saw his Judith's surprised look. "Sad about what dad?" "About... um... well... er... you know---" Danny stopped the car outside the big school, "Hey, this is a very nice school" he exclaimed, changing the subject. "Dad, I wonder who's sad? You're the one who can't even mention mom's name." Judith calmly said, stepping out from the car, "And, yes dad. It is a nice school, but please stop with that changing-subject kinda act. You stink at it." Judith closed the car door and Danny drove off. She looked around, searching for some familiar faces and spotted her best friends Kara, Chris, Brooke and Georgette standing under a big oak tree, talking. "Hey girls!" Judith happily said as she approached. The girls stopped talking and smiled nervously. "Hi Judy" Kara said, "Nice to see ya again." "Well I saw you yesterday, but okay... Nice to see you too" Judith smiled. There was an awkward silence. Judith knew that her friends had been talking about her when she'd come over. "Is something wrong?" Judith asked, narrowing her eyes in the bright sunlight. "Oh no, why would it be?" Brooke replied with a nervous smile. "Brooke's right. Everything's okay... Really." Chris said, "So Judy, how's your family?" Both Brooke and Kara gave Chris a bump in the side and Georgette glared at her. "Sorry" Chris whispered and looked down at her sneakers. Everything came up to Judith. Her friends didn't know how to react, because of her mothers death. "Oh... I see... I'm sorry that my mom's death is uncomfortable with you guys, I mean... Cuz I'm not sad." "We're so sorry, Judy but---" Georgette started "What was that last thing you said?" "I said that I'm not sad about it, so will you just cut the crap?" Judith snorted, getting annoyed. "Sorry for caring" Brooke shoot back. "I hate death," Chris added. "You should really stop watching those tear-dragging movies, Chris. They make you really pathetic you know." Judith laughed. Chris stuck her tongue out and pouted. "Hey, sorry for being so wired, but we didn't know how to react." Kara explained. "It's okay, but really I'm fine." Judith comforted them. Just then the school bell rang. "Great! I'm saved by the bell!! " Georgette looked relived, "I just hate this pathetic, tear dropping shit. Let's go!" All of the girls hurried inside the school building. Judith and Kara had known each other since birth. They were the bestest of friends. Kara lived across the street from Judith, but Kara spent her afternoons at Judith's house. Kara was the peacemaker in the group. She was always calm and quiet. Kara's father was from Kenya, and her mother from New York. She also has a annoying little brother, Daniel, who's 12 years old. The family had moved here to Tulsa with Judith's family. Judith's mom was best friends with Kara's mother. Kara's long black hair was in small braids, she'd big brown eyes and her skin was chocolate brown. Kara was very into sports. Not roller-blading or skateboarding, like Judith, but Kara was a swimmer. She swam every day in the pool they had on there lawn + that she'd practice on Mondays and Fridays. Her body was nice, slim and in shape. Kara was also the smartest one in the group. Had A's on almost every test and was the teacher's favorite. Guys liked her too. But she wasn't that popular. Then we have Brooke. She was the s.c "bitch" in the group. Her motto was "Be a bitch to other bitches". Brooke was the tough one, but also had a very soft side. She was funny, always making jokes. The entertainer, kinda. Brooke had sworn to never do sports. She hated to run around like a maniac and just get sweaty and exhausted. Brooke spent her days on the phone, watching MTV or surfing the net. The maximum exercise she got was to walk her family dog, William. Brooke lived next door from Kara. Brooke and her family had moved in about 1 1/2 years ago, so she was the newest one in the gang. She'd a big family, you could say. Brooke was the eldest one of 5 children. Martin 12 y/o, Cecily 10 y/o and Mark and Martina 7 y/o. And her parents, Matt and Geena of course. Brooke had medium long red curly hair (about to her shoulders). Green eyes and dressed in baggy clothes, as Judith. But Brooke didn't skate, she just liked that kinda fashion. Brooke was wild and always talked the other girls into doing stupid things as: Going on a long roller coaster or sneaking in at a movie. But Georgette always kept Brooke's feet on the ground and stopped her if she wanted to do something dangerous or criminal. Oh yeah, Georgette or Georgie as her friends call her, she is the hacker. Georgette surfs the net continuously and is always locked up in her own cyber world. That's why none of the other four girls call her. Her line is always busy. Georgette's parents are from France, but Georgette and her brother Scott were born here in Tulsa. Their parents are divorced. Georgette and her mom, Nana live three houses away from Judith, but it's still very close. Her father and Scott live in New York. Georgette has her own beautiful looks. She has long hassle brown, a little curly hair and curious blue eyes. She's slim and tall. If you met her and didn't know her, you wouldn't think she's 14, you would think that she's maybe 16 or so. Looks like a model kinda, still she's not the popular one. The most popular girl in school is Chris. Or Christine as her real name is. Chris looks like a Barbie doll. Blonde hair that reaches down her back, sparkling blue eyes, a great body and a gorgeous smile. All the guys would just die to go out with Chris Ellison, it's just that she isn't the easiest girl to catch. Or her friends at least try to not get her a cheepy. Chris is really a total airhead. Obsessed with her looks, not smart, never really knows what to say, and when she says something, it almost always comes out wrong and sounds stupid. If Chris hadn't been Judith's cousin, then the gang probably wouldn't hang with her. But Chris has her bright sides, like every other human being. She's funny, always trying to cheer up everyone, caring and extremely nice, even to people she don't like. After school: "God, that Mrs. Dringle! She really hates me!" Brooke complained as the five girls walked out from their school. "She doesn't hate you, Brooke. She just cares for your education" Kara said. "Well, that comes from the right mouth." Brooke smiled, "I'm not the one who has an A in math!" Kara blushed. "Who's up for a milk shake?" Chris asked. Everyone agreed and headed for the McDonalds at the corner of the road. "So what's happening this weekend?" Brooke asked as they were walking. "Jared Lawson is having a party on Friday" Chris informed. "Well I'm not going." Georgette declared. "Surprise, surprise" Judith muttered. Georgette shot her a dirty look. The girls reached the McDonalds building and walked in. "Hi and welcome to McDonalds! How may I help you" the girl behind the counter asked. "Um, we'll have 5 shakes, please." Judith said, "Two chocolates, two strawberries and one vanilla." "Okay, that'll be $3.50" Judith paid the girl behind the counter. "Thank you and enjoy your meal" she handed Judith a tray with five milkshakes. The girls wandered off to a table and sat down. Everyone grabbed their shakes and started sipping them. Chris suddenly sighed an annoyed sigh. "What?" Kara asked. "I just hate those girls behind the counters" Chris sighed and glared over at the counter. "Uuu...okay, why?" Brooke slowly asked with a smile. "Cuz, I mean... Have a nice meal!" Chris imitated the girl's voice. "Just listen to her!" "You know normally, people try to sound happy" Judith smiled and took a sip of her vanilla shake. "That's not what I mean, DUH!" Chris rolled her eyes, "Five milkshakes, not like that's a meal, duh! Sheesh!" The four girls exchanged looks and then broke into a fit of laughter. "What?" Chris asked, not understanding a thing. "Oh jeeze Chris" Georgette laughed. "Can anybody be as clueless like you?!" Brooke giggled. "Shut up you bimbos" Chris snorted. This just made the four girls laugh even harder. Later: "So what's our plans for tonight? Brooke asked. "Who said anything about OUR plans? Kara commented with her voice falling into sarcasm. "Well, I've got a re-exam on that history thing tomorrow, so I gotta study. "Judith said, kicking some rocks on the pavement. "Okay, what 'bout you Georgie?" Brooke asked. "Sorry, gotta update my home page." "Oh surprise! I should've guessed." Brooke muttered. The five girls walked silent for a while. "Okay, so Kara has to stay home. Judy's gonna study and our hacker to a friend is going to do her hacker stuff..." Brooke repeated. Chris glanced over at Brooke as she spoke. Brooke met her gaze. After a while of silence, Brooke said in a bored voice: "What are you up to Chris?" Chris face shined up and a smile spread across her beautiful face. "I don't really have any plans... But we two can hang out or something?" "Sure, not like I've got anything else to do..."Brooke sighed. The girls reached their houses and each of them ran inside. "I'll meet ya in a half an hour, k?" Chris screamed to Brooke. Brooke just nodded as a reply. Judith was in her room, studding for her exam tomorrow. She flipped trough the pages and tried to concentrate her mind on the kings of England. Her head felt very heavy. Her eyes just didn't want to stay open. She slowly let her head lay down on the book. Her history book had never been so soft. Judith slowly dozed off and was just about to sleep when the phone rang. She jumped up in surprise and let the phone ring another two rings. With a tired voice she answered. " 'Lo'?" "Hi Judy, it's me Kara." "Um, whatever..." "Oh sorry, did I wake you up?" "Oh yeah, I had that test too. It's really hard. You know, Mr. Gordon actually took those last five pages! I mean he didn't even prepare us for it! I was kinda shocked, but it worked out fine." Kara babbled on. "I thought I was gonna die, when Brooke asked Chris if she wanted to hang out with her. I mean Brooke really is desperate for company. I don't have anything against Brooke or Chris, but admit it Judy, that it is a little odd to see them hang together... Don't you agree?... Judy?... Judy you still there?... Hello?" Judith had fallen a sleep when Kara had babbled on. She was now snoring lightly and her eyes just didn't wanna open. "JUDITH!!!" "What the heck are you yelling about?" Judith mumbled into the receiver. "Well you try to talk to someone who's asleep." Kara stated. "Um, yeah I guess I'm just really tired... I'll just sleep now, K? Bye." *Click* Judith hung up the phone before Kara could protest. She dragged her self over to her bed and fell a sleep on top of it, with clothes and all.

Chapter2

It was the next day and Brooke, Kara and Georgette were walking to the bus. "Where's Judy?" Brooke asked Kara. "Dunno" she grumpily replied, "She told me that she was tired yesterday and just hung up on me, so I don't really know or care for that fact where the heck Judith Ellison is!" "Oh don't be silly, Kara" Georgette comforted. "Judy is your best friend. I'm sure she really was tired and just couldn't talk last night." "Yeah right..." Kara muttered. As the three girls where walking, Chris came running up to them. "Hi!" she exclaimed. None of the girls replied. "Have you seen Judy?" Brooke asked. Chris shook her head. "Sorry" she whispered. Judith sat up in her bed. She yawned and stretched. Accidentally she glanced at her watch on the nightstand. "7:46!!!!" she yelled in horror and jumped up from her bed. "Shit, shit, shit, shit..." she mumbled all the way. Judith noticed that she was still wearing the clothes from yesterday and realized that she didn't have time to change, so she sprayed on some Tommy Girl and grabbed her books. Within five minutes, she was ready to leave. Judith grabbed her keys and hurried out the door. "Com'on Kara, you're gonna miss the bus!" Brooke called as she stepped on the bus. "But... Judi---" "Screw her! Do you wanna get detention cuz of her?!" Brooke questioned. Kara sighed and glanced up the road. No sign of Judith. "Alright..." she mumbled and ran over to Brooke and on the bus. Judith ran. She ran the fastest she could. When she came running over the hill, and saw the bus stop, the bus was halfway away. "WAIT!!!" she yelled in desperation, but the bus kept on driving. Judith couldn't hold her aggression back, and threw her books at the ground. She kept on swearing and spitting. "What the heck am I supposed to do now?!" Judith complained, "I have a history test to take!!" As she was standing there, yelling at her books, a boy came skating on a skateboard on the street. Judith got quiet and looked at the boy. He was quite good at his stuff. Suddenly a ray of light stroke Judith's mind. Her eyes started glowing. She was gonna get to school, and that little blonde haired boy was her one chance! "Hey kid!" she yelled. The boy stopped and looked at Judith. "Talkin' to me?" he asked pointing at him self. "No to Bill Clinton, Einstein!" Judith laughed. The boy smiled a unsure smile. "Don't be scared, come here," Judith continued. The boy looked at Judith with big eyes. "I need to ask you a favor" Judith tried. "What?" "I need to ask you a favor." "Yeah I heard that" the blonde boy said walking over to Judith. "But why would I do you a favor? I don't even know you." "Well, you see. I just missed my bus and I really need to get to my school. I've a history test in" Judith checked her watch," In fifteen minutes..." "So?" the boy said. "So please let me borrow your skateboard..?" The boy looked at her for a minute than started laughing. "You mean that I'm supposed to let you borrow my skateboard cuz you need to get to school? hahahah.... And what may I ask, do I get out from this favor?" Judith was really stressed out now. "Look..." "Zac" the boy said. "Look Zac, I'll give you my address and phone number and you can come and pick your board up later, K?" "Please Lady I---" "My name is Judith, and now don't you start arguing with me! That test means shit to you but it means everything to me, so you stop your act now and give me the dam skateboard!!" Judith screamed. Zac stopped laughing and looked rather scared. Judith sighed and took up a pen and piece of paper. She scrambled down her address and phone number and gave it to Zac. "Here" she gave Zac the note. He looked at the paper in his hand then at her. "How do I know that this is your address?" Judith thought for a second, then remembered. She reached around her neck and unlocked the necklaces she was wearing. "This is my golden heart. It's a very special to me. Here take it" she handed it to Zac, "And if I don't give the board back or if it's the wrong address, then you can keep it." Zac looked at the necklaces in his hand. He looked up at Judith again. She gave him the worst puppy-pleading eyes ever. He sighed. "I know I'm gonna regret this..." Zac sighed and handed Judith his skateboard. "Thanks, this means the world to me." Judith smiled. "Hey, hurry or you'll miss that test of yours." "Thanks Zac." Judith said and jumped up on the skateboard. "You can call me around 3:30, I'll be home by then!!!" she yelled to Zac. He nodded. As Judith disappeared down the road. Soon Zac was standing all alone in the middle of a street. He looked up in the sky, than down in his left palm. The necklaces Judith given him, her golden heart, was lying in his hand. He looked at it for a while then put it down in his pocket. He also put the note in his pocket. Zac started walking down the road, to where his house was. Judith hurried inside the school. She rushed down the hall and down to her locker. To Judith's luck, Brooke, Kara, Georgette and Chris where standing by her locker, talking. "Hey" Judith said to the girls as she approached. "Oh see, see who came to school today..." Kara muttered, not even looking at Judith. "Hi Judy, did ya miss the bus?" Georgette wondered. "Yeah if!" Judith said as she took out her history book from her book bag, "But you know I had to get to school, so I stopped this boy and took his skateboard." "You mean you stole his skateboard!" Brooke exclaimed. "No, I didn't steal it, I just borrowed it." "First a hang-up gal, now a thief" Kara muttered. Judith gave her a strange look. "Hello?! I just borrowed it. He's gonna come over later and pick it up." Judith said and closed her locker. The girls stood quiet and stared at the floor. "Fine! Don't believe me! I'll just be the bad guy all along!" Judith shouted and walked away. "Judy wait!" Georgette ran after her. Zac opened his front door and walked inside. His brother, Taylor met him. "Hey Zac, whaz with you?" "A weird thing just happened to me..." he replied and kicked off his shoes. "Ah... well that's unusual..." Taylor smiled, "If I were you, I'd go into that kitchen and explain to mom where you were this morning when everyone else had school?" "Don't you wanna know what happened?" Zac asked. "She's really pissed at ya for not showing up for class" Taylor continued. "Taylor! Your ignoring me!" Zac cried out. "Well sorry" Taylor said in a fake French accent. "You moron!" Zac yelled after his brother who disappeared up the stairs. Zac sighed and walked into the kitchen. "Zachary Hanson! Where have you been?" Mrs. Hanson, Zac's mother sternly asked, as she was ironing some shirts. "Sorry mom, but I had to get out this morning and I don't feel so well." Zac rubbed his head, which was hurting a little. "Well that's not an excuse to drop out from class!" Mrs. Hanson continued. "Actually it is." Zac remarked, "It's called illness." His mother gave him a look. She narrowed her eyes and walked over to where Zac was standing. "Are your brothers giving you a hard time?" she concernedly asked. Zac gave her a very weird look. "Since when weren't they?" he was surprised at his mom's ignorance. "Okay, let's put it this way" Mrs. Hanson sighed," Is it bugging you more now than it did before?" "Are you taking those weird psychosomatic classes again?" "Zac I'm trying to help you!" "Help me with what?!" "Your problems, of course" Mrs. Hanson said, "It's okay Zac, Taylor told me everything, and it's okay to cry about it... there's nothing to be ashamed of.. it comes a---" "Wait, wait, wait.... What exactly did Taylor tell you?" Zac was getting really confused here. What problems? He didn't have any problems, oh yes of course that skateboard thing, but no one knew about that. "Your self-esteem" Mrs. Hanson simply replied. "My what?!" "Taylor told me that you where having thoughts about feeling... um how can I put this? Uhh... He told me that it's hard for you to have two such perfect brothers to look up to. Maybe you feel that you are on that lower level, I had that feeling when I was pregnant with Isaac. I couldn't do anything and Walker was such a big help, I didn't know how to ever pay him back." Mrs. Hanson looked very sentimental. Zac's face was turning into a deeper shade of red. He was almost spitting and he felt the scream in his mouth. "Let me just get this straight..." Zac said as calmly as he could manage. "Taylor told you that I am really looking up to him and Isaac, and that I feel guilt cuz I don't know how to repay them...?" "Right," Mrs. Hanson smiled. "So, is there a problem?" Zac was now shaking because he was so mad. He forced a smile. "No, no... I don't feel any guilt." he stumbled, "I'm just happy that I have such ADOREBLE brothers like Taylor and Isaac." Zac had to bite his lip to stop him self from screaming and jumping around. Oh, Taylor was really gonna get for this. "That's my Zachary!" Mrs. Hanson smiled and gave him a peck on the cheek, "We'll catch up on that math later on okay?" Zac nodded as calmly as he could. When his mom continued with her folding of ironed clothes, Zac rushed out from the kitchen up to the boys room. Judith walked out from her classroom. She'd just had her history test and she knew she wouldn't pass. "Figures that I had to fall a sleep on my book last night." she mumbled to her self as she walked over to her locker. Georgette came up to her. "Hey" she smiled. Judith gave her a look. "What do you want?" she snorted and opened her book bag. "Aw com'on, don't be angry with me?" Georgette whined, "It's Kara and Brooke, not me!" Judith looked at her friend's sad look. Judith's face softened and she broke into a smile. "Sorry, it's just that I come here and everyone seems so angry, and then I totally choked on my exam." Georgette rolled her eyes. "Well I hate to play peacemaker," Georgette sighed. "I think you should talk to Kara." "What about Brooke and Chris then?" "I'll handle Brooke... and Chris, she hasn't got a clue of what's happening." Georgette smiled. "Okay, where's Kara?" That afternoon: Zac had been sitting outside his room for thirty minutes. Taylor had locked the door and he was determined to let Zac sit outside for the rest of time. Zac had cooled off a little and was just anxious to get to the phone in the room. He wanted to call that girl, so she could return his skateboard. "Taylor! Open the darn door!!" he yelled and banged on the door. "Oh no... no way!" came the distant reply. "I'm gonna get mom!!" Zac warned. There was a silence from inside. "Well, what do you want?" Taylor asked slowly. "I just want to borrow the phone," Zac said. "And kick your freaking head off" he whispered to him self. "Well take the phone in the hall." "Taylor, let me in!!" Zac yelled. "The phone downstairs is broken. Remember? Ike's at the store getting us a new one." "Oh, yeah...um okay I'll let you in... just a sec." There was some strange noises heard. Zac suddenly felt a draft from a window or something. "Okay, you do exactly what I say!" Taylor ordered. "Yeah, yeah just hurry up." Zac sighed, annoyed. "Count to 20 and then you can walk in, okay?" "Uhumm..." Zac yawned. "Okay start counting!" Zac heard the door unlock and Taylor's fast feet running across the room. "... 5, 4, 3, 2, 1! Okay, I'm coming in now!" Zac shouted as he stormed into the room. It was empty. "Tay?" Zac asked with a unsure voice. A whistle was heard from outside. Zac looked over at the window, which was open. He jogged over to it and peered out. "HEY!!" Zac yelled when he saw where his brother was. Taylor waved from the tree house he was sitting in. The big tree on the family's lawn. "You're not gonna catch me that easy" he yelled back to his brother. "I'm gonna get you, Tay! If it's the last thing I do!!!" Zac screamed and shut the window. "I swear one of these days that boy's gonna get smashed!! He's even more annoying than me!" Zac mumbled to him self. He dragged him self over to the desk where the phone was. He picked up the piece of paper from his pocket and lifted up the receiver. He quickly dialed the number and waited for someone to pick up. Three tones went by and no one answered the phone at the girls house. Zac glanced up on the clock on the wall. It was 3:35 PM. She should've been home by now. Zac got worried. What about his skateboard? His parents would kill him if he'd lost his brand new skateboard. And what about the golden heart, the girl had given him? Zac hung up the phone. He reached down in his jeans pocket and picked up the jewel. He looked at it. It was a golden heart with a chain. There was a name carved into it. "Judith May Ellison" Zac read out as he touched the golden letters. It was a locket, he discovered. "Maybe I shouldn't open it" Zac said to him self, "It's private, and she did say it was very important." But what was inside? Zac was really curious. He couldn't resist and slowly let his fingers slide the little locket open. Zac looked at what he had just opened. There was two pictures inside. The first one of a girl, Zac recognized. It was Judith. But who was that boy? "Oh what do I care? It's probably her boyfriend." Zac was just about to close the locket when something fell out from it. Zac looked down and found a rose pedal. He picked it up from the floor, where it had fallen. It was all dried up but still red as blood. Zac studied it, smelled it, felt it. Yepp, an ordinary rose pedal. Why would someone have a rose pedal in its locket? As Zac was thinking about this weird rose pedal, he heard footstep race up the stairs. Zac hurried to put the locket in his pocket , and gently put the rose pedal in a box on the desk. Just then, his older brother Isaac rushed in through the door. He slammed the door after him and ran over to his bed to lay down. He didn't see that Zac was in the room. "God, it's so annoying! I come home here, and I expect that at least YOU..." he pointed at the pillow, "...could give me some comfort or please just be soft like any other pillow!!!" Zac looked at his brother with a puzzled look. "Uhh...Ike?" Zac whispered. "Are you yelling at your pillow?" Isaac jumped up and gave Zac a embarrassed look. "Oh hi Zac..." They stood silent for a while. Zac was trying his best not to laugh. Isaac was just very embarrassed. "So did ya get the new phone?" Zac said quietly. "Yepp, it's down stairs in the hall, on its place, working fine..." Isaac answered nervously. "Um, why?" "Cuz I have to make a phone call and I think you need some time alone," Zac replied and walked over to the door. Before he walked out he said, "Ike?" Isaac looked up. "Take it easy with the pillow. You don't wanna start a pillow fight with it, right?" "Shut up!"

Chapter3

Georgette and Judith were walking home. Kara and Brooke were walking far ahead, moping. Chris was at her aerobics class. "So whaz up now?" Judith asked Georgette. "Well, I'm gonna try to talk to Brooke and then I've some homework," Georgette simply replied, kicking some rocks on the sidewalk. "You?" "Oh I'm gonna go home and wait for that guy to call me so he can pick up his skateboard and I can get my---" Judith stopped and looked down. "Your what?" Georgette asked. Judith didn't answer, just kept staring at the ground. "Com'on Judy, if you say A, you say B!" Judith looked up at the sky and mumbled something. They started walking again. "Georgie, I think I've made a very big mistake..." Georgette looked at Judith with a worried look. "What did you do?" "Well... You know I was in a hurry this morning and I really needed that boy's skateboard so I kinda gave him something of mine..." Georgette stopped. She grabbed Judith's arm and pulled her so Georgette could face her. "What did you give to him?!" Judith was very uncomfortable with the way Georgette looked at her. "Look, I'm really sorry... but I had to." Georgette gasped and rolled her eyes. "Aw man, you gave him your locket... Geez, Scott gave you that!" "I know, but I didn't have anything else to give.." "Well, now its gone forever... you can count on that," Georgette sighed. "No, don't say that! He will give it back to me!" "Com'on, get real... How many strangers do you trust?!" "I trusted Scott," Judith looked at Georgette. "Well, some difference there. He was my brother!" "What do you mean was?" Judith frowned, "He still is your brother." "Well he lives in New York and he hasn't even bother to call since he and dad moved out 1 year ago, so I don't consider him as a brother anymore!" Georgette spitted out the words. The girls walked silent for a while. Georgette broke the silence. "Do you still love him?" "Who?" Judith asked. "Scott of course." Judith shrugged. "I don't know really. He just left and left me like that. It came all so sudden..." Judith felt the tears coming, but she held them back."But I still miss him... Oh hell, I miss him so." Georgette pulled Judith into a hug. They where standing outside Georgette's house. "Please don't swear, Judy," Georgette softly said. "You know that won't bring him back." Judith giggled a little trough her tears. "Well, I guess I gotta get home and wait for that guy to call," Judith pulled away. "I don't think you should get your hopes up, that he'll call" Georgette said as she walked up on her drive way. Judith shrugged. They said their good bye's and Judith ran home. Just as she walked into her house, the phone rang. "Yes!" Judith mumbled as she walked over to the phone, "Hello?... Oh hi dad... yeah I'm okay... Did you get mom some flowers?... No, just drop them off on your way home... I just don't feel like strolling around cemeteries today... Uhu.. um dad I gotta go... yeah I'm waiting for someone to call... I'll fix dinner, just be home by 7, okay bye!" Judith hung up the phone and sighed. Well, maybe Georgette was right. That guy wouldn't probably call... he may just be out buying a new skateboard for that locket Judith had given him. "Well, there'll come a time where I have to forget about Scott..." Judith said to her self as she walked over to her room. She entered and headed for the bed. She laid down and soon drifted on in a restless slumber. Georgette was walking around in her house, thinking about Judith, Scott, her dad, and Brooke. She walked down stairs to her garage and sat down by the TV. She channel surfed for a while, when the phone rang. Georgette almost threw her self over the phone. "Hello?" "Hi..." Georgette sighed. "Hello Brooke." "Wow, your line wasn't busy, that's odd." Brooke's voice said. "What do you want?" "Are you angry with me or something?" "DUH!" Georgette cried out. "I think you and Kara are really mean to Judy, I mean she hung up on Kara cuz she was so tired and you, so what I don't get is how you got involved?! Did ya get an invitation?!" It was quiet from the other line. "I don't know... But I thought we could be friends at least." Brooke suddenly said. "Brooke, there's one thing here in life no one can be out and that's friends... best friends. We five have always stuck together and we're best friends." "Yeah so?" "SO, if you really care so much about being friends with me, I think you and Kara should sort things out with our other friend!" "But Georgie--" "Good bye Brooke!" Georgette said and hung up. Judith woke up from the phone ringing. She opened one eye and glanced at the phone. Should she answer the it? Nah...why when she could sleep...The phone kept on ringing. Judith groaned and slowly sat up and lifted the receiver. " 'Lo?" Judith said in a sleepy voice. "Um, is this the Ellison residence?" "Yeah..." "Okay, is Judith there?" the voice asked. "Yes..." Judith said almost asleep again. "Uuuhh... May I talk to her?" "Um, Judith's speaking" "Hi..." "Uhu..." Judith sat up strait and tried to stay awake, "Um, can I help you or somethin', cuz I'm kinda expecting a call so..." "Oh okay, I'll make this quick.." the voice said, "We met this morning... Remember me, Zac?" Judith's eyes flattered open and she jumped up from the bed. "Oh hi Zac!! You can't imagine how glad I am to hear from you!" Zac got quiet. "Uhh.. the same?" "So are you coming here to pick up your skate or?" "Um, I was kinda thinking you could come here... If you want of course." "Sure, what's the address?" "...okay, I'll see ya then!" Zac said and hung up the phone. Taylor walked out from the kitchen. "Oh, so Ike got us a phone" he said munching on a chocolate bar. Zac glared at him. "Oh com'on Zac, you're not still angry about that trick I played on ya?!" Taylor laughed, "It was a joke!" "Oh yes, my dear brother. I do have problems," Zac snorted. "YOU'RE MY PROBLEM!!" "Stop yelling!" Jessica, the little sister said. "Me and Avie are trying to watch cartoons!" "Yeah, stop screaming, Zac!" Isaac said as he came down the stairs. "See?! I always get for everything!!" Zac threw his arms in the air. "Well, you're always running around annoying everyone with your darn screaming." Isaac said. Zac gave him a weird look. "You should say, you're the one yelling at your pillow!" Zac shot back. Isaac tried to hit him, but Zac ducked in the last second. As Isaac started chasing Zac around the house; the doorbell rang. Taylor, who was watching his bothers with an amused look, walked over to the door and flew it open. Out side stood a girl. Taylor looked at her. She looked at him with her green eyes. She was nice looking, looking very friendly. Her long blond hair was up in a ponytail and the sun made it shine like gold. Just that perfect illusion Taylor would have of his dream girl. Yepp, she sure was cute... no not cute...beautiful! Taylor could feel his ears and face changing color into a deeper shade of pink. He felt like the girl had read his dirty thoughts and he got nervous. "Okay, act casual. It's just a girl," Taylor thought. "But she's nice very nice... okay be cool and don't mess up!" "Um, hello?" the girl was waving her hand in front of Taylor. He snapped out from his staring and tried to look normal, but soon a silly grin decorated his face. "Hi!" he said still smiling. The girl looked at him with a weird look. "I'm... Judith..." she said looking at Taylor with a suspicious look. "Is this guy nuts or something?? Judith thought to her self. "Hi Judith..." Taylor smiled. Judith smiled and shook her head. "What is your name?" she asked, pronouncing every word carefully. "Oh, Taylor." The shook hands. "Okay Taylor, Is Zac home?" Judith talked slowly. "Uh, you want to see Zac?" Taylor blurted out without thinking. "Uh.." Judith stepped out on the lawn and looked at the number on the brown house. She glanced down at the address in her hand. Yepp, there was a match. She walked up on the porch again. "Doesn't he live here??" Judith gave Taylor a worried look. "Well that depends on what his last name is." Judith bit her lower lip and looked down. "Oh, this is so embarrassing! I'm sorry, I guess I've got the wrong---" Judith started, but suddenly Zac's face appeared behind the still smiling Taylor. "Who's at the door--" Zac saw Judith, "Hey Judith! Com'on in!" he pushed away Taylor from the doorway and invited Judith inside. Kara was mad! She was really upset! But about what? Okay, Judith had hung up on her last night, but was that a reason to be angry? Kara had a real temper problem. She could get pissed if you just left the toilet seat up! But when she wasn't mad, she was the nicest. The doorbell rang at Kara's house. "DANIEL!! WILL YOU GET THAT?!" Kara screamed from upstairs. There was no reply. The door bell kept on ringing. Kara mumbled something and ran out from her room, and banged down the wooden stairs. Just as she reached the door, her brother , Daniel rushed to the door. "Jeeze Daniel, can't you do it the first time I ask you?!" Kara hissed. "Shut up Kara!" Daniel opened the door. "Hey Daniel! Whazup?" "Hello Brooke..." Daniel sighed. "Nothing much." "Hello world!" Chris shouted and pushed by Brooke in the doorway. Daniel's face brightened up. "Hi Chris! How nice to see you!" Kara made a face. "Oh com'on Daniel! That's gross! She's too old for you!" Kara snorted and led Chris into the living room. Brooke followed and left Daniel standing in the hallway, shocked. "What do you mean too old!? I was just polite!" Daniel shouted after his sister. Judith was sitting in the living room in Zac's house. Zac was upstairs looking for Judith's locket. Judith was sitting on the couch and on the floor in front of her, sat two girls. Zac had introduced them as his two little sisters. Jessica and Avery. Now they sat and stared at Judith, which made her feel a little uncomfortable. She looked at the girls and smiled. Jessica smiled back and Avery took a sip of her drink. "Is that good?" Judith asked Avery, referring to her drink. Without a word, Avery handed Judith the drink. "Thanks" Judith replied and took a sip, "Hey this is good!" "It's ping-pong-pling" Avery almost whispered. "Ping what?" "Ping-pong-pling" Jessica repeated, "It's our own recipe." "Oh, it's yummy... You have to teach me to do this sometime!" Judith smiled at the little girls. "Maybe" Jessica said. "No Jessie, we can't!" Avery stated. "We promised Mr. Teddybear to not show or tell anyone about it!" Jessica gave her sister a look. "Avie, it wasn't Mr. Teddybear we promised, It was Zac!" Avery put her finger on her lips. "Shhhhh" she hissed. "We promised not to tell!" "Oh your secret is safe with me" Judith giggled. Zac flew the door to his room open. Taylor was sitting on the bed, looking at Judith's locket, which he held in his hand. "Hey!" Zac yelled when he saw what Taylor was doing, "That's Judith's and it's private!" Taylor looked at Zac. "Why is it here?" "It's a long story, but still you're not allowed to sneak around in her stuff!" "You looked in it." "I did not!" Zac lied. Taylor smiled and stood up, handing Zac the locket. "Stop lying Zac, you stink at it." "Well, you... I mean we shouldn't touch this, it's hers and it's private and besides I just looked at the pictures for a little while." Taylor shrugged as if he didn't care. "Just figures that she has a boyfriend" Taylor sighed, picking up a magazine and laying down on his bunk bed, "Why doesn't it surprise me?" "What do you mean?" Zac asked, "Oh no don't tell me you were gonna ask her out?!" Taylor grinned and flipped trough the magazine. "Jeeze Taylor!" Zac gave Taylor a disgusted look. "You're too much, I mean you don't even know her!" "Zac! I'm joking!" Taylor laughed, "But she's hot you gotta agree with me on that" Zac looked at his brother. "Don't you think about anything else but sex?" Taylor gave Zac big eyes. "Who's talking about sex?" Taylor hissed, "I just said that she was hot, not that I wanted to... um you know..." "Well... I don't look on Judith or any other girl in that way... that perverted way you look at her and others!" Zac stated, "You almost drooled over her downstairs! If I was a girl, I'd slap you in the face!" "Well, what's stopping you?" Taylor asked, "You sure act like a girl sometimes. Moving your hips in that girly way, talking in high pinched voices just to say a few of your unusual ways." Zac gasped. And without a word he rushed out from the room and slammed the door behind him. "Good bye sister" Taylor giggled after Zac. Judith was very relived to see Zac storming into the living room. "Hi again!" Judith smiled at Zac. He nodded. "Aren't you two supposed to be somewhere?" Zac directed his question to Jessica and Avery. The girls looked at their brother and slowly nodded. They stood up and wandered out from the room. Judith watched them leave and smiled. "Do people always do what you say?" Zac smiled. "Here..." he handed Judith the golden locket." "You have my skateboard?" "It's outside." Judith answered, looking at the locket in her hand. They walked over to the door and Judith sat down to tie her shoes. Zac watched her and fiddled a little with the end of his shirt. "Hey, so why don't we go skating sometime?" Zac almost whispered. Judith looked up with a smile. "Sure, and thanks for letting me borrow you skate." Judith said, opening the door. "Your sister's are really cute and your brother...he's..." Judith stopped and tried to think of a good word of Taylor's weird behavior. "Well, I guess he's kinda weird, from what I've experienced that is." "Oh believe me, he's always like that!" Zac smiled. "Well, bye!" Judith walked out on the porch and Zac followed. "Hey Judith!" Zac called after her. She turned around. "Judy, you can call me Judy." "Well Judy, can I call you some time?" "Sure, whenever you want!" Judith said. "Bye!" "See ya!" "So Brooke, you talked to Georgie yet?" Kara asked as she handed Brooke a can of Coke. "Yeah, no luck there," Brooke opened her drink. "She still hates me." "Well I was thinking, maybe we could just do something tonight... You know, all five of us" Kara shrugged as she said this. "Hello? What's the problem, just call Georgie and Judy, no biggie!" Chris said, sipping her Coke. Kara and Brooke gave her a look. "And at what time where you here?" Brooke said. "We're kinda in a fight with them." "Oh..." Chris looked down. Kara smiled. "You're really clueless sometimes, you know." Chris didn't pay attention the her, just turned the TV on.

Chapter4

A couple of days passed. Kara and Brooke had loosened up a little and they'd admitted that they really didn't have a reason to be angry. So now the five girls where like best friends again. Judith and Zac had started to hang out more often. Judith was sometimes at Zac's house or they would just go skating at the school. They had fun together. Today it was Friday, and Judith and Zac where sitting outside in the Hanson's front yard. It was a warm day, so they where kind of laying around, tanning. "So what happens tonight?" Judith rolled over and faced Zac, who was laying beside her on the blanket. "Dunno" Zac replied, "Tay said that mom and dad and the little ones are going out, so why don't you stay here and we can watch some movie or something?" "Sure, but is that Taylor guy gonna be home?" Judith wrinkled her nose. "Why, you don't like my brother??" Zac smiled. Judith smiled a sarcastic smile. "Oh yes, I love him with all of my heart!" she joked. Zac's eyes winded. "Oh you do??" Zac smiled an evil smiled. "Can't wait to tell him" Zac jumped up and started to run to his house. "Ohmigod, you're gonna tell him!!" Judith screamed and jumped up and hurried after Zac. "You little brat!! I was joking!!" Zac just laughed and ran inside the house. He hurried upstairs with Judith right behind him. Zac rushed to his room and flew the door open. Taylor was sitting by the computer, playing some game. "Taylor! You can't guess what Judy just told me!!" Zac tried to catch his breath. Taylor looked up from the computer. "Judith's here?" he asked. Just then Judith ran into the room. "What ever he has told you, it's a lie!" she gasped. "Well, he hasn't told me anything... yet" Taylor smiled, "Zac tell me!" Judith hurried over to Zac and put her hand over his mouth. "Oh, you couldn't do that to me, Zac!" Zac struggled loose and looked at Judith. "Well, if it wasn't true, than why can't I tell him?" Judith looked down than at Taylor. "Sure, tell him, I gotta go now." "Oh no... not so fast!" Zac pulled her arm. "I won't tell him, okay?" Judith nodded. Zac and Judith left the room. Taylor returned to the computer, very confused. "Zac quit throwing that popcorn around!" Judith giggled. "We want something for the movie you know!" Zac smiled. "So, is it just us?" "Well... " Judith sighed. "You tell me." "Um, Ike's coming home later, and Taylor is---" "Hey, hey!" Judith turned to Zac. "Who's Ike?" Zac gave her a puzzled look. "You haven't met Ike yet?" "DUH!" "He's the big brother." Zac explained, grabbing some popcorn. "Wasn't Taylor the oldest brother..." Judith asked in a confused tone. "Nope, Tay's the same age as you and Ike's 16." Judith turned to the TV again. "Taylor's the same age as me?" she asked in unsure voice. "Yep," Zac didn't really pay attention to Judith. "Oh, I didn't know that..." Judith said pulling her knees up to her chin. Zac shot her a soft look. "Well now you know," he simply replied. They sat silent and watched the TV commercials for a while. Judith was rather uncomfortable. Now a days when she heard the name Taylor, she got this shiver trough her body. Why, she didn't know. Judith felt like braking the silence and the first thing that entered her head, was that name. Taylor. "So... does he like... uhh... have a..um girlfriend or so...?" she almost whispered. "Who?" Zac said glancing at the TV the same time as they talked. "Your brother." "Well, yeah he has this girlfriend called Hanna, she's really nice." "Oh" Judith said with a disappointed sigh. "Yep, they've been going out for 2 months now. I think it's serious," Zac babbled on. "Why do you wanna know?" "Oh, just curious I guess," Judith stared at the TV, giving Zac small glances here and there. Halfway trough the movie, Judith almost fell a sleep. They where watching "My Best Friend's Wedding", which Judith seen like a billion times. Zac was enjoying the movie and laughed all the time. "Um, I'll just go and use the bathroom," Judith said, standing up. "Sure, the first door on the left," Zac said, not taking his eyes from the TV screen. Judith nodded and walked out from the living room. She was tired and bored. Judith quietly opened the front door and went out. She closed the door behind her and sat down on the doorstep. She watched the stars for a moment. Just like that she started to think about Scott. He and she used to just sit and watch the stars too. Scott really knew this stuff. He used to sit and tell Judith about Orion's Belt and other star signs. Judith smiled at the thought. She fiddled a little with her locket, which was around her neck. Judith opened it and touched the two pictures inside. She didn't have to see him, she just knew he would be there. Judith let her fingers slip under Scott's picture and tried to find that special gift he had given to her. She trailed her fingers along the small edges of the golden locket, but she didn't find anything. Judith sat up straight from her more comfortable position. She unclipped the locket and took it in her hands. Judith desperately tried to find the little red rose pedal she'd hidden behind Scott's picture. It wasn't there. Judith's face had a worried expression and she whined a little to her self. She looked around where she was sitting, trying to find her lost rose pedal. She finally stood up and opened the front door. She walked in and looked in the hallway floor. Judith stood up straight. It wasn't here. "Where could I've lost it?" she asked her self. Judith and Zac had a pillow fight earlier in the boys room. Of course it would be there! Let's just hope it wasn't crushed. Judith hurried up the stairs and down the hall to the boys room. She flew door opened and was surprised to find Taylor laying on the bed, reading Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". "Hey Judith!" he smiled and shut the book and put it on the nightstand beside him. "Hey, when did you get home?" "About an hour ago," Taylor explained. Judith nodded and walked over to the bed, sitting down by him. "I love that movie" Judith replied, pointing at the book. "Yeah, me too... But the book is better." "No, you don't see Leonardo DiCaprio in the book" Judith smiled. Taylor laughed and looked down. It was silent for a while, when Judith suddenly remembered why she was in the room. She bowed down and started to crawl around on the floor. Taylor looked with wide eyes at Judith's crawling. "Uhh... What are you doin'?" Judith rose her head and looked at Taylor. He shivered when he saw her green eyes. They made his body feel warm and they looked so friendly. "I've lost something" Judith replied and Taylor snapped out of his staring. "Oh," Taylor said, kneeling down on the floor by Judith. "Well what did you lose?" "A gift... from a very special person" Judith didn't look at Taylor as she talked, she just crawled away to the desk. "I don't wanna seem rude or something, but is the gift from your boyfriend?" Judith stopped looking and froze. "I don't have a boyfriend!" she snapped and continued her search. Taylor slowly nodded and looked under the bed. He didn't really know what he was looking after, so he sat up again. "Well, if I'm gonna help you find your special gift, it would kinda help if I knew what I was searching for" Taylor said, letting his voice fall into sarcasm. "OUCH!!" Judith screamed and sat up straight. Taylor hurried over to her. "What happened?" he asked. Judith looked at him. She held up her fingertip, which was bleeding. "You shouldn't have needles laying around your floor." "Oh sorry, but Zac taught Avie punch pinning yesterday," Taylor explained, helping Judith up. "I think we have Band-Aid's in here." Taylor scrambled around the messy desk. He opened a little box, which was on the desk. "Here we are" Taylor said, and pulled out a Band-Aid. But with it followed something else. "What's this?" Taylor held up a little blood red rose pedal. Judith smiled. "Oh god, Taylor! You found it!" she took the little pedal in her hand. "Thank you!" she hugged him. "Uh... I've never seen anyone be so happy about some rose pedal before," Taylor stated and wrinkled his forehead. "Oh, no.. You found the gift I lost!" Judith smiled and held up the rose pedal. "That's the gift you lost?" Judith nodded. "My... I mean a person gave it to me once." Judith stumbled over her words. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to," Taylor said, calmly and took her finger and wrapped the Band-Aid around her bleeding fingertip. Judith bit her lower lip and studied Taylor as he did this. She never thought a boy could be so easy to talk to. Judith got a strange feeling, quite like that feeling she'd gotten the first day she met Scott. "There!" Taylor smiled and looked up to meet Judith staring right back at him. They stood there, very close looking at each other. Then suddenly Judith pulled away and walked over to the window. Taylor looked down and blushed. Judith opened her locket and put the rose pedal behind Scott's picture. She closed it again and looked out the window. "So, how's that girl... uhh Hanna..?" Judith asked. "Hanna?" Taylor questioned. "Uh-huh," Judith said, turning around to face Taylor. "How would I know?" "How would you know?!" Judith exclaimed. "Don't talk to her?" "Yeah sure I talk to her," Taylor shrugged," But only like 3 seconds..." "3 seconds?!" "Yeah," Taylor said looking at Judith's surprised face expression. "You know, if you wanna know how Hanna's doin' I think you should talk to Ike." "To Ike?!" Judith walked over to where Taylor was standing. "He's seeing her too?!" "Of course he's seeing her," Taylor smiled. "She's his girlfriend!" Judith looked at Taylor, not understanding a thing. "Hang on a minute here... How can Ike date Hanna when she's your girlfriend?" "What?!" Taylor laughed, "You think I'm dating Hanna??!!" "Aren't you?" Judith looked very confused. "No!" Taylor laughed. "Hanna's Ike's girlfriend! She's 16 years old for god's sake!" Taylor had to sit down, cause he laughed so hard. Judith scratched her head and narrowed her eyes. "So Hanna's not your girlfriend?" Judith asked the hysterically laughing Taylor. He shook his head. "Then who is?" "No one!" Taylor smiled, "No one's my girlfriend I don't have one...yet." Judith smiled and looked down. "I got really confused there." she admitted with a giggle. "Sorry." "It's okay, everyone messes up sometime." It was a awkward silence again. Both of them tried to avoid eye contact with each other, but still glanced at each other when one wasn't looking. "Well, I guess I better be going back down" Judith almost whispered. Taylor nodded. Before Judith walked out she turned around and looked at Taylor. "Why don't you come with me?" she asked. "We're gonna watch some other movie now so.." "Sure" Taylor quickly replied and followed Judith out from the room.
