The Miniature schnauzer originates from Germany.
They are small in size, but no way toyish or delicate.
You'll be suprised when you pick up a Mini Schnauzer
They feel very sturdy and heavy, and muscular.
Mini Schnauzer's are very comfortable in a apartment or in the country.
Miniature Schnauzer were breed to be a ratter where they caught vermin of all kinds
The Miniature Schnauzer comes in three colors recognized by the AKC.
Salt&Pepper , Black, and Silver&Black.
Personally I have seen other colors that i really like .
I like the White colored Mini Schanuzers .
Mini Schnauzer's are very alert and make good watch dogs.
Mini Schnauzer's are healthy, intelligent,and hardy.
The undercoat is soft and can range in color from
black, dark gray, to light gray or beige.
The top coat is hard and wiry
The average size for a minature schnauzer is any where from 12 to 16 pounds
The average height is 12 to 14 inches. This can depend on the bone structure for the dog
My Milo is 14 1/2 inches tall and he weighs 18 pounds.
The AKC group for Miniature Schnauzer's are Terriers
They have been breed in the United States
Since 1925 and are very popular today
