His first trade as new head coach was to give away 2 draft
choices for a reserve linebacker and a QB named Billy Kilmer.
Larry Brown rushed for 1,216 yards and named “Player of the year”;
Kilmer replaced Sonny Jurgensen and threw 19 TD passes; most in NFC.
Washington allowed fewest points in NFC; had a 9 game win streak.
