Backstreet
Harmony Touches Young Hearts Worldwide
Leaving a trail of broken sales records and teenage
hearts in their wake, the Backstreet Boys have toured the world and
enjoyed overwhelming success at every stop along the way. Sales
ratings of Gold and Platinum are almost as numerous for the young
quintet as the number of devoted fans they've made in more than 45
countries.
Now, the Backstreet Boys have partnered with Tickets.com to offer
tickets for their upcoming U.S. shows in a series of charity auctions.
That's right! The money you spend on a night with your favorite band
will go toward helping a worthy cause, which will be personally
selected by the Backstreet Boys over the Thanksgiving Weekend. So,
check back Monday to see who they picked!

Their debut album
"Backstreet Boys" - released in 1997 - has remained in the
Billboard charts' top 20 for nearly two years. It has received Gold
and Platinum ratings in 45 countries and sold more than 28 million
copies worldwide.
"Millennium," their second album, was
released on June 5, 1999, and immediately shattered first-week sales
records by moving 1,134,000 copies. Within two weeks,
"Millennium" had sold more than 10 million copies worldwide!
Backstreet Boys originally formed in Orlando, Florida, in 1993 when AJ
McLean, Howie Dorough and Nick Carter - who met and become friends at
acting auditions - decided to form the group, inspired by the work of
Boyz II Men and Color Me Badd. Kevin Richardson was drawn into the
group when introduced by a mutual friend (he was performing at
Disneyworld at the time). The fifth and final member was
"imported" from Kentucky when, after failing to find a new
member in the Orlando area, Richardson recruited his cousin Brian
Littrell.
In 1998, Brian underwent heart surgery to
correct a congenital defect. He's recovered completely.Click here to go back to the main page
