My Poem/Prayer to Melissa On Learning of Her Passing

Many of you have seen this poem/prayer that I posted shortly after Melissa (Missy) died. I also dedicated it to Jason's uncle as he died just shortly before Missy did. Today I gave this poem in person, to Judy, Melissa's mother. She loved it, too. I wanted to post it here in her honor. Thank you all for your prayers for Missy and her family. They have meant a lot and Judy wanted me to tell you that. With Much Love, Diane

What can be said
Father, we pray to you tonight
Please grant us the strength
For the world has lost a light.
She returns to You
Your waiting open arms
We deliver her to You
Away from this world's harms.
There isn't much comfort
In these words I speak
For my heart is numb
And my faith feels weak
So carry me, Lord
For I can't walk this path
Please comfort me Lord
For I'm feeling so much wrath
Open wide those gates
Receive your child tonight
For we have lost her now
But your Angels shall delight
As her presence shines in heaven
We shall just look to the sky
And she shall be there
In the corner of my eye
