Comments This species is variable in flowering time, number of flowers, flower size, and amount of fringing on the lip.

B. amazonica (Brazil) - The flower is waxy green with little hint of reddish. The lip is white with green center, with no fringe on the lip. I only get one flower per spike on this plant.

B. martiana (labeled, Brazil) - The plant produces relatively large flower for its size. The shape of the flower matched the other B. martinana from Venezuela that I have seen before, the only difference is my clone does not have the fringe on the lip. I also get only one flower per spike.
