Vision Statement

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.” 2 Cor. 10:4

Life is a series of ups and downs. Few people go through life sailing on smooth waters encountering only bliss. Most people deal with sickness, death and arguments right alongside of health, life and agreements. No one can be completely sheltered from the elements of nature. We live in a fallen world with the knowledge that this world will not live forever. For a person without hope, despair is inevitable. For a person without God, hopelessness may become a way of life. As Christians we have a hope, we have a light and yet so many times we let the “ups and downs” of this life control us. We act on how we feel at the time. Our words can destroy and our words can bring life. So what is our lot? What is our responsibility? To do the best we can and hope everything will turn out all right? To give up and let nature take its course?

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Eph. 6:12

Could we recognize that we are in a war? Could we recognize that there are two sides and we (mankind) are in the middle? Can we begin to see that the two sides battle not to win or lose? In fact, one side has already won. The two sides battle so as to bring the “middle” to their side. The one side brings temporary joy and pleasure, the other eternal joy and peace. The one side fights with deception, lies, selfishness and hate. The other with truth integrity, selflessness and love. The one will bring despair and hopelessness that will never be gone. The other will bring us out of despair and hopelessness and into eternal life where we can “sail on smooth waters”.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any pain; for the former things are passed away.” Rev. 21:4

Why not choose the better side? If you knew the truth, what would you do? The choice put before us seems silly. Choose darkness or light. Why is it so hard? Why does the battle rage?

“And the dragon was wroth the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have testimony of Jesus Christ.” Rev. 12:17

The enemy of our soul and ultimately of our God blinds our eyes. We are born in iniquity and sin (Ps. 51:5). We like to stay in our comfort zone. We dislike change. We make it easy for the darkness to overtake. Why would a blind person want the lights on? He can make it just as well in the dark. Sure, it’s hard, but we know no other world.

“He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their hearts; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their hearts and be converted…” John 12:40

But there are some - a remnant - which have been given divine sight. They walk in the light. They see the battle and they want the middle to choose sight. They want to fight for their side. How can a seemingly small army win a battle, that when people even stagnate in the middle, the enemy wins?

“So then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth.” Rev. 3:16

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.” 1 John 4:4

Worship the Lord, praise His name. He inhabits the praise of His people (Ps. 22:3). Worship the Lord with all your might. Fight against principalities and powers. Tear down strongholds. Repent; repent for our families and nations. Pray and lift up His name! Some may express worship in song, some with instruments, some with dance. Dance used in and understanding of worship and warfare is powerful. It is a lethal weapon against the enemy. Blind eyes can be opened. The middle will choose the light. More will see. Multitudes will worship.

“After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands.” Rev. 7:9

Corporate praise, a unified army will arise.

“Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners?” Song of Sol. 6:10

If you are called to worship in dance, do it. Do it with others who understand the war. The enemy will come in and try to break ranks. He can’t blind your eyes again – you see!

“Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines, for our vines have tender grapes.” Song of Sol. 2:15

“I therefore…beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called…endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit…” Eph. 4:1,3
