CSX Bowline

Savannah Sub: Savannah-Ogeechee
Nahunta Sub: Ogeechee-Jesup (to Jacksonville)
Jesup Sub: Jesup-Waycross (to Folkston)
Thomasville Sub: Waycross-Thomasville.
Dothan Sub: Thomasville-Montgomery.

Bainbridge, Ga; December 1998
Y101 works the yard on the Bainbridge subdivision from the SAL bridge across the Flint River.

Boston, Ga (not Ma); March 1997.
This is probably the reason why CSX officials laughed their head off when they heard about the Y2K bug...
An EB freight is about to go in the hole for a WB. The conductor gets off his train to flip the switch, right in front one of the numerous depots left on the Bowline.

Saffold, Ga; February 1997.
My first catch on the Bowline in my first month of railfanning. This WB local just picked up cars from the CIRR and is resuming its trip to Dothan.

Naylor, Ga; August 1999.
This westbound freight train is only a few miles from Waycross and is stopped at the siding without a crew...on the law?

Pansey-Dothan, Al; June 1999.
Another innocent westbound freight with a not so innocent line-up.
HLCX 6211 in the DM&E scheme, followed by HLGX 532 in the Conrail scheme, then 2 SD45s from Wisconsin Central.
This is the catch of the day...the only catch that day.
