GP38 is pulling a ballast train from Jacksonville to Atlanta.
It is the middle of the afternoon and the roof is about to cave in
on the little Georgia town.

These would be strange days for the old timers. Rail train has C&O
gondolas. In a few minutes, a Southbound coal train will fly down the mainline
with NYC hoppers, two former fierce competitors and fallen flags now working
for the same railroad.
