Blue Version, with it's almost twin Red Version, was the first Pokemon game to come to North America. The funny thing about Blue version is that it's a totally different thing in Japan. In the Japaneese Version, Blue is just a game to go with Red and Green, and it only has a few Pokemon in it (There's 139 Pokemon that can be found in USA Red and Blue, Jap Green and Red)The Japaneese green version is the exact same thing as blue is here, except it's green, and as a Venusaur on the back. Instead of Blue, Green, and Red they just sent Blue and Red, and made Green blue! Maybe because of Red, White, and Blue? Red and Blue.. American Flag? Hmm...
Anywhoo...In Blue Version, you must travel around the 9 cities, 10 if you count Cinnabar Island, collecting Pokemon, fighting Pokemon trainers, raising Pokemon, and fighting gym leaders to reach your final goal-Beating the elite 4 to become the greatest Pokemon master ever! The wonderful thing about this game is that it has many obsicales, many things you must do to complete the entire game. Like, to beat the game you need all the badges to fight the Elite 4, and then fight Gary, and once you beat him, it's not over yet. You still have to collect all 150 Pokemon-Including Mewtwo, who's in unknown dungeon. This is a task because some Pokemon cannot be caught in Blue version-Only in Red! So you have to trade people to get them, which is pretty neat. There is 151 Pokemon total, the 151st being Mew, but you need Gameshark to get him, or you can trade with a friend. The nice thing about this game is that you can play it many times without getting bored. You can try to beat it getting Bulbasaur 1st, then maybe Squirtle, or CHarmander! Also, you can assemble new Pokemon teams to re-fight the Elite 4, or fight your friends using the game link cable.
