NICK NICE KISS
CARTER FAMILY:
"...To me it's always nice to have my family near me. I need the warmth of the nest..."
[ Nick Carter ]
The Carters have always been a musical family. In an interview with a Canadian music television program, Nick pointed out that both his mother and father had been involved in the business. Jane was involved in drama when she was younger and, much like Nick, Bob was in a rock 'n' roll band in his teens. But the performing roots go back even further. Years ago, Nick and Aaron's maternal grandfather received a master's degree in drama, in both acting and directing plays. Even the the boys' maternal great grandfather, Robert Neal, was involved in music. He played the organ and sang in the church choir for over twenty years.
Nick's dad, Bob and his Grandpa
owned a small restaurant lounge, "Yankee Rebel" in Jamestown, New York. Nick and
Bobbie Jean were born there. Then they moved to Tampa,
Florida where their parents owned a retired people's home, "Garden Villa Retirement Home". Bob was a manager, while Jane,
was the resident cook. Bob, Jane, Nick and BJ used to live there and Leslie was born there. The kids used to play in the garden but
the old folks didn't mind. After one year, they moved into their
own home, near the retirement home. It was in this home, that the twins, Aaron and Angel,
were born. Later on, Bob and Jane sold the retirement home. Now the
Carters have moved to Los Angeles to be closer to the action in Hollywood.
However, Nick has his own
house in Tampa, where he resides. Nick, BJ, Leslie, Angel & Aaron have a half sister,
Ginger from their Dad, Robert's first marriage.
