Welcome to my personal WebPages, A place where I can share some of my passions and aspirations, but first let me tell you a little about myself.
I was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and came to live in the USA at the age of two months, when my mother migrated to New York. I was raised and educated in New York, and in 1966, I graduated from New York University with an Associate Degree in Secretarial Science. In 1989, furthering my education, I earned my B.A. in Criminal Justice from The Caribbean University, in Puerto Rico. In 1995, I relocated to Orlando Florida, where I now own a half partnership in a paralegal and tax business.
I'm 54 years young, divorced, Mother of four grown children, Grandmother of seven and soon to be eight grandchildren.
My hobby is Amateur Ballroom Dancing. In 1990 I entered my first competition in Ballroom Salsa, in Puerto Rico winning 3rd place. From that moment, I was hooked on Ballroom Dancing. 1996, I became a student of The Arthur Murray Studio for the period of one year. With interest in broadening my Ballroom skills, I studied at Maxie Studios under, Mr. Jim Pounds. I really feel my Latin roots, have contributed to both, my love of dancing as well as my dancing skills.
In 1997, My beloved Mother was diagnosed with Cancer, and all my dancing ceased for the next two years. Two months before my beloved Mothers passing in December of 1999, she told me...."I will be gone, there is no use for sorrow, just keep on dancing that is my wish."
In September of 2000 fighting depression, I finally got the courage to start dancing again, with Stuart Nichols, as my partner. December of 2000, we entered the Pro/AM Gator Classic Competition at Fort Meyers, Florida. Winning 1st place in Tango, Fox-Trot, Waltz, Bolero, Rumba, Merengue, Mambo. 2nd place in Swing and Cha-Cha.
No, I'm not a professional, this is my passionate pastime and hobby, and I am still learning.
I continue to search for my soul mate, looking for a professional male, 5'8" and over. I seek not, a man with gold, but a man with a heart of gold. I don't smoke, drink or do drugs, I live life of serendipity. I love nature, and the Arts, such as, Music, Poetry, Movies, Karate, Ballet, Opera and of course Ballroom Dancing. I like the simple things in life, always remaining honest, caring, romantic and persevering.
"Sing, as if no one is listening, dance your heart out, as if no one is watching, and dare to love again, as if no one has ever hurt you."
