Gloria Anzaldua was local writer who past away recently. She is known for her groundbreaking work of combinging poetry and prose, and for speaking about the uniqueness of the border between Mexico and the U.S. as its own entity. She is best known for her work, La Frontera in which she blends history, mythology, religion, gender, race, and sexuality into her discussion.
