Robert Earl Johnson, Jr.


ABOUT ME:

Robert Earl Johnson, Jr. is a local writer originally form the Pasadena area. He teaches at the University of Texas-Pan American in the English Department and has formulated a course on "South Texas Writers" in which he hopes to "outline the rich literary heritage of South Texas and its writers."
He has edited Fantasmas: Supernatural Stories by Mexican-American Writers and is at work putting the finishing touches on his next book, Tiger In the Valley. This latter book focuses on the time William S. Burroughs spent in this region of the Rio Grande Valley in the 1940s. Johnson is an expert on that portion of Burroughs's life.
