REMEMBERING THE SLAVES OF JOHN REMBERT

To the Honorable Jackson Millsaps, Judge of Probate of Copiah County, Mississippi.
The undersigned ? appointed by this honorable court at its January Term A.D. 1859 and order and directed among other things to divide the negro property of John Remebrt deceased among his legal heirs and distribution agreeably to the law of descents of this state and to allot to said heirs their respective shares thereof, beg leave respectfully to report.
That pursuant the restrictions contained in the commission hereto atached and herewith returned, and the rule of the statute in this behalf, they assembled for the purpose of making said divisive at the late residence of said descendent in said county on the 4th day of January A.D. 1859 and came to be assembled and collected at said residences of said descendent all of his negro property and divide the same into shares as nearly equal shares according to value, as they could: that they designated said shares as No 1 consisting of the following negro slaves to wit:
