About the Mill |
Other Places |
About 1850, Lewis Turner and his son-in-law, Henry Harden Hall, built this substantial grist mill adjacent to their sawmill on Little Goblintown Creek in Patrick County, Virginia. Over the years of its active life, extending into the 1960's, this building has been successively known as Turner's Mill, Hall's Mill, Wood's Mill, Walker's Mill, and Martin's Mill. In February of 1999, George Charlie Cox, a direct descendant of both Lewis Turner and Henry Harden Hall, acquired the property and began the restoration program described in the accompanying pages and photographs.
