• Bret Hart was not in attendance, so he could sell the eye injury from last week after Lex Luger blasted him in the face with a baseball bat.
• Juventud Guerrera and Psychosis defeated Kidman and Rey Mysterio, Jr. with a Dropkick by Psychosis.
- Kidman and Rey Mysterio, Jr. were hot and dominate in the match. They showed excellent teamwork. After Mysterio took out Guerrera with a springboard moonsault on the outside, Kidman nailed Psychosis on the inside with a facebuster. Kidman then set up Psychosis for the Shooting Star Press, only to get knocked off of by a returning Guerrera. Psychosis then caught Kidman with a dropkick to the gut for the win. Afterwards, Konnan and Eddie Guerrero of The Filthy Animals attacked Guerrera and Psychosis. Kidman was about to unmask Psychosis, but Chavo Guerrero, Jr. knocked him off. Eddie tried to make peace, but Chavo sided off with Guerrera and Psychosis. Psychosis spoke in Spanish. Guerrera was about to translate, but Chavo took the microphone away, and said Psychosis was challenging Kidman to a Mask vs. Hair match for the following week's show. The Filthy Animals wanted to get the match underway then and there, but Guerrero, Chavo, and Psychosis all walked off.
• Goldberg defeated Brian Knobs (w/Jimmy Hart) with the Jackhammer.
- Before the match, Jimmy Hart said he and Jerry Flynn turned their back on Goldberg just for one split second the previous week, and all of a sudden, Flynn was let laying in the middle of the ring from a spear. Hart said Goldberg would now face Knobs and would be next. Knobs told the crowd, calling them idiots, to shut their stinking mouths. Knobs said Goldberg ran around, thinking he was the toughest man on the planet, but he (Knobs) was the nastiest man. Goldberg made his way down to the ring with security. He first sidekicked Knobs and knocked him out of the ring. On the outside of the ring, Knobs nailed Goldberg several times with a chair. He threw Goldberg into the guardrail. Goldberg was back on top after countering a ringpost shot and throwing Knobs in a steel staircase. In the ring, Hart tried to attack Goldberg with a megaphone. Goldberg grabbed Hart by the collar, and picked him up, only to be hit from behind with the megaphone, courtesy of Knobs. Knobs then geared up for the Pit Stop, but when he turned around, he was speared. The Jackhammer was next for Goldberg's hot win. Afterwards, Goldberg addressed Sid Vicious. He said just the previous week, he threw out a challenge to Sid, but Sid packed his bags and left like a girl. He said Sid had obtained quite a record, but so had he. Goldberg said since Sid had the United States Title, he wanted and would get it. He said intimidation was his game. He said he was once the hunted, but now he turned into the hunter. Goldberg said he would take his anger out on only one person, which was Sid. He said he would give Sid five weeks for Halloween Havoc, as the crowd booed. Goldberg finished things off with, "You're next."
• Ric Flair Interview, Conducted by Gene Okerlund.
- Gene Okerlund asked for Ric Flair's response after he was attacked by Sting and Lex Luger the previous Monday on Nitro. Flair said he liked Sting and Luger. Flair said God knew he was free and alive at last. He said he would slap the paint of Sting's face. He called out Sting. Chris Benoit made his way out instead near the entrance-way. He said he didn't mean to come out and rain on Flair's parade. He said he and Flair always had unfinished business that they would take care of some time down the line. Benoit said he had a Heavyweight Title match with Sting, with a two-week ago document proving it. Flair said it didn't matter if Benoit had a contract, he wanted Sting out. Benoit said Flair had always made broken promises, saying "wait until it's your turn." He said it was his turn for a title shot. He told Sting to leave his goons in the back. He said he had something to prove to the fans and the world, and Sting would find out why he was called The Crippler. Flair said he was going to find Sting immediately.
• Gene Okerlund, Kimberly, and Tygris did this week's Nitro Girl search.
• Sting defeated Chris Benoit via Pinfall, to retain the Heavyweight Title.
- Before the match, Tony Schiavone announced, the following week on Nitro, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, and Bret Hart would team up for the first time ever to take on Sting, Lex Luger, and Diamond Dallas Page. Chris Benoit and Sting wrestled a slow, back and forth match. After Sting landed on Benoit's knees with a top rope maneuver, Benoit capitalized with the Diving Headbutt. Sting, however, kicked out of the pin attempt. Benoit had Sting in the Crippler Crossface, but Sting made it to the ropes. Sting later went for a Stinger Splash, at which point the referee was knocked out. Benoit countered and hit Sting with a piledriver, but a pin couldn't be counted. Benoit then had Sting in a bridge suplex pinning position, but Luger ran in and nailed Benoit with a baseball bat. Sting made the pin. Afterwards, Flair ran in and attacked both Luger and Sting. Diamond Dallas Page then ran in and nailed Flair. A limping Hulk Hogan scared off the heels.
• Berlyn (w/Bodyguard) defeated Scott Armstrong with the Reversed Neckbreaker.
- Berlyn dominated and easily took the win. Afterwards, Brad Armtrong ran into the ring to his brother's aid.
• In pre-recorded footage, outside of the arena, Vampiro and The Insane Clown Posse arrived in the ICP bus. They talked strategy with Shaggy 2 Dope, who would receive a Cruiserweight Title shot.
• Diamond Dallas Page Interview, Conducted by Gene Okerlund.
- Diamond Dallas Page would take on Ric Flair in the main event (originally scheduled to be Sting vs. Flair for Heavyweight Title). Page started off with his usual introduction. He gained heat by insulting Pete Rose. He told the "pathetic crowd" to shut the hell up. He said the only thing that was more pathetic than the fans in Cincinnati, was Ric Flair. Page said at one time, he thought Flair was the greatest champion of all-time, but he wouldn't go. He said Sting and Lex Luger tried to help Flair retire last week, but he didn't. He said it was something that had to happen. Page also said Flair wasn't the man anymore. On the food chain, Page, the Diamond Cutter, and "Bang" were at the top, while Flair, the Figure-Four Leglock, and "Whoo" were at the bottom.
• Evan Karagias defeated Blitzkireg with a Twisting Frog Splash, to capture a shot at the Cruiserweight Title.
- Blitzkrieg was dominating, but Evan Karagias took the win out of nowhere with a Twisting Frog Splash. Karagias would take on either Shaggy 2 Dope or Lenny for the Cruiserweight Title the following Thursday on Thunder. Afterwards, Sid Vicious entered the ring, along with Charles Robinson. He gorilla pressed Karagias and caught Blitzkrieg in air for a Powerbomb for "win" number 85-0. Sid, directing his attention to Goldberg, said he did whatever he wanted to. He said at Halloween Havoc, he would give Goldberg what he thought he wanted. He said they would play by their rules up until the PPV. Sid told Goldberg not to come up 10 feet to him, not to touch him, do what he says, or Goldberg would lose the match. He said Goldberg would just become another number on his march to the Year 2000. Karagias received a Powerbomb for 86-0.
• Perry Saturn (w/Shane Douglas, Dean Malenko) defeated Eddie Guerrero (w/Filthy Animals) via Pinfall.
- This one was a rematch from last week. After an amazing elbow drop by Perry Saturn, he signaled for the Death Valley Driver, but Eddie Guerrero countered with a pin attempt that resulted in a nearfall. Guerrero hit a huracanrana, but missed the Frog Splash. Saturn was sent to the outside, where Konnan threw him back in. Saturn went back after Konnan, but was held back by Revolution members, while Filthy Animal members held back Konnan. Meanwhile, Shane Douglas nailed Guerrero with a chain. Saturn didn't approve and was upset, but he made the pin anyway.
• Hulk Hogan Interview, Conducted by Gene Okerlund.
- Gene Okerlund brought up Hulk Hogan's return Heavyweight Title match with Sting at the Halloween Havoc PPV. Hogan said it was nice to see the red and yellow in Cincinatti. He said the wrestling business was for no stinking crybabies. He said the bottom line was that he would say his prayers, take his vitamins, and kick Sting's ass. He said he had a "three strikes, your out" system. When Sting and Lex Luger attacked Ric Flair, hit Bret Hart with a baseball, and attacked Flair again, those were three strikes. He said he, Hart, and Flair would kick Sting, Luger, and Diamond Dallas Page's asses next week. He said he never thought in the world he, Hart, and Flair would have something in common. Hogan finished off by again saying he would kick ass.
• Lenny (w/Lodi) defeated Shaggy 2 Dope (w/Violent J, Vampiro) via Pinfall, to retain the Cruiserweight Title.
- The Dead Pool came out with their own signs. Before the match, the Lodi fan entered the ring. Lodi knocked him out and he was then handcuffed. He said something about his brother coming in soon. Lodi got a cheap shot on Shaggy 2 Dope, at which point Vampiro and Violent J went after him. Lodi stood on the apron with the Cruiserweight Title belt. Shaggy then bumped into him. He landed on Violent J and Vampiro, while Lenny made the pin on Shaggy.
• Rick Steiner Interview, Conducted by Gene Okerlund.
- Rick Steiner said if you weren't a Steiner, you didn't stand a chance. He said there was no man that could outwrestle him, but he did respect Sid Vicious, because he would take Goldberg's head off, and his brother, Scott Steiner. A buffed up Scott then made his way out. Gene Okerlund said his sources told him Scott was making a movie. Scott said it was none of Okerlund's business. He said he was the man with the largest arms in the world and the genetic freak. He said he was watching Sportscenter, seeing people like Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa making records. But he wanted to make a record with women, so he told his hoochies to meet him in the back. He said his "Big Poppa Pump is your hook up, holler if you hear me" line. Scott said before he left, he was the United States Champion and the leader of the NWO. He said it made him puke yellow and red when Hogan left the NWO and turned the fans. He said the agreement was that Hogan wasn't supposed to leave the NWO. He said Hogan would be saying his prayers, taking his vitamins, and kissing his (Scott's) ass.
• Booker T. (w/Stevie Ray) defeated Kanyon with the Missle Dropkick.
- After Booker T. hit an axe kick, he set himself up with the Missle Dropkick, but Kanyon put the brakes on him. Kanyon was thrown back down to the canvas. Booker's second Missle Dropkick attempt was successful.
• Ric Flair defeated Diamond Dallas Page by Disqualification.
- Ric Flair didn't wait, as he immediately attacked Diamond Dallas Page, upon his entrance. The brawled into the crowd for a brief minute and back down to the ring. Page was dominant at that point. Flair came back with some chops and a low-blow. He later strapped Page in the Figure-Four Leglck. Sting made his way out and attempted to elbow Flair, but missed. Flair then strapped Sting in the Figure-Four. Lex Luger was in with a baseball bat and nailed Flair in the rib cage, at which point the referee called for the bell. Hulk Hogan was out. Sting attempted to take him down with a baseball bat, but missed. Hogan got punches all all three heels, but was then hit several times in the leg with the bat, courtesy of Sting.
