Item # 1 : Civilization Forever (Hall of Fame - 2222).

If you have visited Downloads Page at this site you've probably seen
"HiCiV - Civilization Forever" program.

Task :
Playing WITH SCORING after year AD 2020.
Principle :
To step over year AD 2020 (on Deity level) and to continue play
WITH SCORING you must deceive Civilization II program. The game must not see year 2020.
So you take SAV-file for year 2019. There are four bytes in this
file - #28, #29, #30 and #31 - contained information about current year and turn number. You change info in these bytes from year 2019 to year 2021.
If you load this modified file into Civilization II you see the
same view you had before modification but year is AD 2021. You continue game and Civilization II counts your scores - forever.
How to put it into practice :
- If you know how to use HEX editor (and have any one) you can
change those bytes yourself.
- You can send me your SAV-file and I'll change it and return
you modified file.
- You can download my special program - "HiCiV - Civilization
Forever" (zip-file size is 119 kb). The program modifies any SAV-file
easy.
Additional information :
When you'll get score for year 2222, please send it to Stewart Spink. As I understand he supports Halls of Fame at Apolyton site.
And he intended to open new section - for year 2222.
