The Quest for Contact
The ongoing quest for contact with Renée Zellweger
I decided to start this page to keep Renée fans up-to-date on the search for contact of any sorts with Renée Zellweger.
I still have not had direct personal contact with Renée, but I have received e-mail from a source close to her assuring me that she has seen this website and was pleased and flattered. I am still working on getting her to answer a list of questions for this site, but her filming schedule has slowed efforts somewhat. I am also hoping to obtain an autograph. I will update this page as soon as any such development breaks.
I have written to Renée at her talent agency (United Talent Agency), but with no success. I have encouraged any inquirers who are looking to write to Renée to go through the agency. Although no one has reported any success, I still think that it is the best bet to get a hold of her. To write to her, care of her talent agency, here is the address:

10/26/98 - I have recently been told that there is a new fan address for Renée. Again, there is no report of a reply, but I think it is well worth the try. If anyone does receive a successful response, PLEASE let us know here at the Realm.

Here are some accounts from others who have had Renée Encounters (most recent at top)
Name unknown I was one of the many women who were extra brides in the San Francisco filming of "The Bachelor". Although I wasn't fortunate enough to actually meet Renee, both she and Chris O'Donnell were great to work with. Particularly the balcony scenes...there we were, all freezing, and then I looked at Renee standing there on that iron balcony, BAREFOOT, and never letting on that she was even cold!!! In between scenes, they would joke with those of us in the crowd. She was a real inspiration to me to ignore the cold. Anyway, it was a great experience. I had a BLAST. Renee, if you read this and if you ever make any more movies in SF, I would love to be an extra again!!!
Carin Kahn Last Tuesday, Nov 24, 1998, I was at a restaurant in Los Angeles. Sitting at a table alone, right outside the window from me was Renee. I just had to go out there to tell her that Empire Records is one of my favorite movies. I did, we spoke for a few minutes, and I left her to her business while I went back in the restaurant. I do have to say, she is REALLY nice. The sweetness that comes across in her interviews is true to her. I don't frequent any websites, but I wanted to let others know that their admiration of her is well-founded.
Allie Fox I just got back from the world premiere screening of A Price Above Rubies in Park City, Utah, and can't begin to tell you how exciting it was to see her on screen and in person. First of all, the movie was part of the premiere screenings at the Sundance Film Festival. The director introduced the film and the audience of 1300 clearly enjoyed her new film. After the film, Yoaz introduced Renee (who was sitting only two rows back from me the entire show) and there was a short question and answer session about the movie. We were only a few rows back, so I was only a few feet from one of the most beautiful and talented actresses today. She was so cute, dressed very casually in jeans and a loose sweater and extremely shy in front of the crowd. After the session, I spoke with her briefly outside the theatre. I got Renee to autograph my Sundance Film Festival guide, signed personally to me. Her new movie was actually my second favorite of the dozen I saw at the Sundance Film Festival, only second to Gweneth Paltrow's Sliding Doors. Thats really saying a lot with the caliber of the films this year.
Do you have any contact to report? Please e-mail me.
