My John Deere Page
Welcome to my John Deere Tractor page. Here you will find before and after pictures of the 1953 John Deere Model 70 that my brother Johnny and I worked on last summer. We began by removing a two row corn picker, then we sandblasted the tractor before repainting it.
It looks much better now. After repainting, we installed new decals, gauges, ignition components, front tires, and brakes. The engine is a 412.5 cid 2 cylinder all fuel engine. We entered it in the Inman Farm Heritage Days tractor show last year. I hope to take it again this year. We had a good time showing it, as it was the only Model 70 John Deere tractor there out of a field of over 200 tractors.
