The Golfing Cabinetmaker
The following instructions pertain to downloading and installing woodworkers desktop themes. These themes are totally free with no strings attached. I created them using freeware that I downloaded off the web. If you have any suggestion to improve the themes please do no hesitate to email them to me. Check back regularly as I will be adding new woodworkers themes as I get additional material.
These themes will operate with windows 95 and 98, however, if you have windows 95 you will need a companion program simular to MS Plus. The program I use is called Desktop Architect. It can be downloaded at: Desktop Architect. The Themes are all in self-extracting file format so there is no need to have a zip utility.
Double click the theme you desire to download. Some browsers have the option to install the theme after downloading is complete. If your's doesn't go to the start/run in your windows task bar. After the theme is installed and operational you will be able to set up a screensaver that is packaged with the theme. The ones included are .jpg file with pictures of woodworking equipment, golf pictures and army equipment You may add your own pictures of projects or any other .jpg you might have on your computer. There is a bug that I haven't been able to correct; Windows 98 gives an error message and will not run the picture file.
There isn't any tech support with the themes, but if you run into any problems please email me and I will try to help. Enjoy.
Recently our Army Values Theme received the Tucows "Theme of the Day" award for November 22, 1999. Check it out.
