Welcome to Yale's Home!
Like my fish? He must be hungry!
Personal Info
Hi! My name is Yale Douce, better known to my close friends, family and church members as Tony. I was born in Seattle, Washington, but grew up in Jamaica, West Indies, where I spent 17 years of my life. I moved to Atlanta, Georgia, USA in 1988, and have been enjoying it here ever since. I (used to) play a mean game of volleyball, and enjoy watching (most) sports on TV. I also try to go out to see a game or two of professional baseball, basketball and football each year, and keep up with my home teams (as you can see from the links below) whenever they play.
Educational/Technical/Professional Info
I received a Certificate in Computer Science from
Northern Caribbean University (formerly West Indies College) (in Jamaica) in 1988, and my A.A.T. Degree in Computer Programming from DeKalb Technical Institute (in Clarkston, GA) in 1992. I have my A+ Certification, and am currently working towards my MCSE and CCNA certifications.
I have been a computer "geek" for over 20 years, dabbling in various computer languages and systems. From BASIC to C, from the TRS-80 to the Pentium IV, I've seen and/or used most, if not all, of them, as my resume shows. I became interested in the Internet a while back, so I took some HTML classes, sat at my computer for a while, and this was my first attempt at creating a Web page. Of course, it has gone through a few changes since then.
Currently, I am a freelance PC Consultant. Mostly, I do software & hardware sales/installation, as well as purchasing assistance. I may add software training in the near future. Check out my web page for Triple D Enterprises, the company I am trying to get off the ground.
Religious Info
For as long as I have been in Georgia, I have been a member of the Atlanta Belvedere Church of Seventh-day Adventists in Decatur. I have found it to be a warm and friendly place. I have always believed that religion is an important part of every person's well-being. It helps to make well-rounded individuals and productive members of society. That's why I created the home page for my church. I felt we should have a presence on the Web, taking advantage of the global technology of today to witness to the world. If you are looking for a church, or are just curious about the Seventh-day Adventist Church or our beliefs, please be sure to visit my church's site. You will find information and resources there that may answer the many questions you may have about our church or about religion and Christians in general.
I have created a couple of other sites I would also like for you to check out: one of them is the site for my singing group, Back To Basics, and the other is for churches in my area, called Adventists Across Atlanta. Please check these out and let me know what you think. Thanks for visiting!
