Williamson had only 9 points and 3 rebounds The Vancouver Grizzlies had a chance to break their 24-game road losing streak, and throughout the game it looked like they might do it. The Kings were barely able to pull off the 81-77 win. This was Sacramento's lowest scoring game of the season, as they only shot 32% from the field. The Kings, who are known for their offense--they averaged 108 points over the first 4 games--actually won a game with their defense. During a game when the Kings were definitely beatable, the Grizzlies could not capitalize, as they shot only 37%. This was a very ugly game; we scored only 13 points in the fourth quarter. Chris Webber led the pathetic offense with 19 points; Vlade Divac has 11, while Jason Williams and Jon Barry chipped in with 10 each. Nick Anderson 1-11 for 2 points in 25 minutes; all the Kings combined were 3-25 from 3-point range, with Williams at 1-7 and Anderson at 0-6. Shareef Abdur-Rahim--the most underrated player in the league--led Vancouver with 24 points and 18 rebounds.
