J-Will Leads Kings to 100-85 Victory! By Matt KingsCourt Co-Founder (Written on October 20, 1999)
Two words: Jason Williams! J-will opened up the game ON FIRE! He hit a three just 10 seconds into the game, and never looked back. At the first timeout the score was Jason Williams 11 Chicago 6. At the end of the first quarter Williams had four 3-pointers (would have tied a single quarter record for a Bulls opponent if a real game) and 16 points on six of seven shooting. He ended the game with 21 points (didn't play 2nd quarter), and several nice passes. Corliss Williamson, who hadn't played in two games, did play, and he played great, throwing in 16 points. Vlade Divac also chipped in 16 points for the Kings. The Bulls couldn't shoot, only shooting 34% from the field. Scoring leaders for the Bulls included Ron Artest and Elton Brand 11 each, and Randy Brown with 10. The Bulls poor shooting, and the Kings good shooting led to a big win by the Kings, 100-85.
