Vlade Divac Recently acquired Scottie Pippen scored 14 of his 22 points for the Portland TrailBlazers in the third quarter of the Portland win over Sacramento Saturday night. Rasheed Wallace added 17 points and 10 rebounds for Portland, while Chris Webber, back from injury, led Sacramento with 17 points.

Pippen carried his team hitting five straight shots, while the Blazers outscored the Kings 33-17 in the third quarter to take an 83-64 lead. The Kings hung tough, and in the fourth quarter, Darrick Martin scored 9 of his 12, as we went on a 23-6 run, coming within 2 points with under 3 minutes left. Unfortunately, it was all too little too late.

Lawrence Funderburke came off the bench for Sacramento and added 10 points and 10 rebounds. The 99-93 win makes Portland 5-0, while Sacramento falls to 2-3. The two teams meet again in preseason play on October 29.
