Attacked by the narwhale and the elvish command ship, the dwarf dreadnought defends itself by ramming the elvish ship.

With the orcs attacking the Bretonnians in the background, Bill Hamilton's dwarven fleet and the Viking squadron close upon the rear of the orcs.

With one of their ships attacked by a huge shark, the rest of Josh's Imperials start to surround Ed Sansing's elvish fleet command ship.

A large many-toothed leviathan controlled by John, Jr., begins chomping upon the stern of Fred's Viking dragon ship. Note the Red/Yellow ship and aircraft cards all over the sea. Since this was the first game for most of us, we had to frequently refer to these for information.

Tim's and Sean's Bretonnians and Jay's orcs are tangled in a large melee while Fred's Vikings close in to join the fun.

With the narwhale continuing to batter itself silly against the armored hull of Jim's dwarven dreadnought, Jim's flyers and submarines (with submerged indicators) engage part of Phil's elvish fleet.

Josh's Imperial ships and flyers slowly attempt to close-in and sink Ed's elvish command ship. The shark continues to feed on the hapless Imperial galley.

Two Imperial dragon flyers from John, Jr.'s fleet attack Fred's Viking dragon ship. The many-toothed leviathan can be seen still enjoying his meal of dragon ship stern works.

With no orcs in close, the Vikings engage the Bretonnians, while the kraken continues to attack an orc ship. In the background, the dwarven balloons drop more bombs on the orc ship.
So, who was the victor in this fantastic Naval Battle?
Not the Orks! Actually the Brettonians won, if I recall correctly. I was sobbing into my green orc-beer (Jay Stribling).
It was a great game. Many of the photos do not do these fantasy miniatures justice. John Switzer has been collecting these out-of-production minis for years. Great work John! We all enjoyed our 'walk on the wild & wet side'.
