The S-Video Cable is a neat addition to your GameCube Hardware. It basically replaces the Antenna/Video Cable that comes with the GameCube console. The Super-Video Cable or S-Video Cable is used with S-Video compatible TV’s so you better check if your TV is compatible first before considering buying it. The S-Video Cable enhances the GameCube graphics giving you crisper, clearer graphics. Does it work? Yes, mine worked pretty well even though I got one from “Pelican Accessories” and not the official Nintendo one. You will notice a slight improvement on the clarity. This cable won’t add more graphics or make any major changes on how the game looks but you will get a clearer picture. I really liked this cable but I would only recommend you to get it if you have the money or just want to see a little improvement in the graphics. It won’t really make that much of a difference in the enjoyment of your games. Games like SSX Tricky, Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron II, SSBM and Resident Evil look really nice with this cable though. It is too bad that it does not come standard with the GameCube console. This cable retails for around $10 to $15 so if you really want to have the best GameCube experience get it but if not just save your money. |
