LATEST UPDATED PIC:
some of the prototype pics:
The replica as an MC-51B, and also a version W/ back-up (switchable) battery:
Stock TM body/etc. painted w/ drybrush method:
Dig the ghetto "semi-horizontal" foreward grip! (will replace with C.A. one soon)!
*MG Canabalized from a G3A3 (with 41mm of inner barrel, as well as 5mm of orig. outer-barrel cut off), and an MC-51 (I wanted a special-ops look with a collapsing stock, and snub nose). The foregrip has been replaced with a G&G RIS. *Systema M-120 spring, tightbore barrel, and metal bushings.
*Motorized box magazine holds 3000+ rounds, as well as a 9.6v, 1700mAh battery to power the winding mech.
*10 rnds of dummy linked 7.62mm NATO ammo cover the boxes BB filler-port. An adapter fits over the belt intake to accept dummy linked 5.56mm: [insert image "23mod.jpg"]
*The inside of The BB reservoir has been lined with leather to reduce rattle. (This has since been removed to increase BB capacity-I now can fit most of a 3700rnd bag of .2's!) *The battery compartment, and motor housing have been packed with soft foam to absorb most of the remaining buzz and rattle.
*UPDATE: MC-51 muzzle-break adaptor has been removed, and rear of break milled to fit snug against front sight assembly.
These are the images I used to build this:
I still must add an HK-51 outer barrel, an Armored Gallery's G3 outer barrel, heatsink, a re-painted MSG90 lower rec., a PSG1 stock and a Harris "swivel" 9"-13" bi-pod to complete an HK21e.
