The Final Boss Characters

Orochi Akuma

Think of what would happen if Shin Akuma were exposed to the Orochi Power. Well, this is exactly what happens in the end of SNK vs Capcom 2. Akuma becomes lightning fast and more powerful than any fighter.


Strategy: Orochi Akuma is one tough customer. Both Shun Goku Satsu and Misogi will instantly kill any fighter with less that 5 defense. This guy is also fast as can be. He often does his shadow slide and does the second combo before the player can even push the other direction to block! A healthy dose of luck is needed to beat this guy.
Combos:
  • Chain Combo, Gou Hadouken or Messeta GSRK or Shun Goku Satsu
  • Chain Combo, Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku, Goushouryuken (16 hits)
  • Launcher, Air Combo, Zanku Goudoken or Gou Hadouken

    Stats: Power: 10 Energy: 10 Defense: 6 Speed: 15 Ratio: 6 Drain: Ratio + 1(All stats +2)

    Special Moves:
    Gou Hadouken: Fires a large laser blast. Doesn't last long. 5 hit Shinku Hadouken! (A,D)
    Zanku Goudoken: Air Only. Throws 4 fireballs downward with a spread pattern (D)
    Shakunetsu Hadouken: Throws a regular Hadouken fireball, but this one is Unblockable! (F)
    Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku: Akuma's basic hurricane kick. Hits 6 times (A)
    Goushouryuken: The classic dragon punch. Hits 7 times! (A)
    Basic Throw: Falls backward, kicks the enemy over his prone form.
    Bonus Abilities: Shadow Slide, Rolling Evade, Air Dash, Double Jump, Wall Jump
    Launcher: A standing uppercut

    Hyper Attacks:
    Shun Goku Satsu: Stands on one foot, slides forward with terrifying speed. (C) Hits the enemy 33 times in darkness (D)
    Misogi: Akuma splits into 2 to distract the enemy, falls from above with a karate chop. Unblockable
    Messeta Goushouryuken: Moves forward, doing 4 Goushouyoukens. 20 hits total.

    Enter: Stands with his back to the camera, Orochi energy moves into his body. His kanji changes.
    Victory: Turns his back to the enemy, his kanji appears and goes huge

  • God Rugel

    Omega Rugel is bad enough. However, at the end of SNK vs Capcom 2, he defeats Shin Akuma, and adds the demonic fighter's Dark Power to Rugel's own Evil Energy. The result is a fighter with the powers of both.


    Strategy: Like Orochi Akuma, God Rugel is one cheap bastard. God End will kill any fighter with less than 8 defense, even if they are at full power! Kaiser Wave must be super jumped over, regular jumps don't go high enough. Try to above getting yourself drained. All you need is to make him stronger!
    Combos:
  • Chain Combo, Destroy Cutter x 2 or God Press or Gigantic Pressure or Total Annihilation
  • Sweep Combo, God End as the victim stands up

    Stats: Power: 10 Energy*: 15 Defense: 12 Speed: 8 Ratio: 6

    Special Moves:
    Kaiser Wave: Throws a giant projectile that is as big as most hyper projectiles (P)
    Destroy Cutter: Jumps up, moves his leg in a circle, leaving a blade-like trial. May do twice in a row (A)
    God Press: Runs forward (C), grabs the enemy, and slams the victim into the wall (P)
    Dark Barrier: Creates a shield around himself. All projectiles are reflected back at their user. Rugel cannot be injured
    Rugel Execution: Runs forward (C), picks up the enemy, and drains both life and stats from the victim (Drain)
    Basic Throw: Picks up the victim by the throat and crushes it
    Bonus Abilities: Shadow Slide, Dodge, Regeneration
    Launcher: A standing uppercut

    Hyper Attacks:
    Gigantic Pressure: Grabs the enemy (C) does Execution, then does 2 God presses in a row (Drain)(P)
    Total Annihilation: Kicks rapidly, then does 3 Destroy cuts in a row. 10 hits Fairly short range, but strong
    Last Judgement: Stands on one foot, slides forward with incredible speed (C), hits 15 times in darkness. Unblockable
    God End: Does a basic, short range punch (C) holds the enemy over his head, and put a beam through the victim. 50 hits (P) Unblockable

    Enter: Omega Rugel picks up Akuma, drains his powers, then discards the body
    Victory: Rips off his shirt, revealing Akuma's kanji symbol.

  • Apsalus

    The Apsalus is a mobile armor developed by the Zeon in the "Gundam 8 th MS Team" OVA miniseries. The picture is of the second model, while the first appeared to be more of a ball shape. For a large flying ball, the Apsalus is quick and strong.


    Strategy: A floating ball of death, the Apsalus can move around at will and can attack at nearly any angle. Its hyper attacks cause massive damage and can be used at anytime, since boss characters do not need vigor. Since it is usually flying around, jumping attacks are just about the only way to win.

    Similar Fighters: Onslaught

    Stats: Power: 0 Energy: 11 Defense: 8 Speed: 7 Ratio: 6 Size: L

    Special Moves:
    Zeek Cannon: Fires a large beam straight ahead. 4 hits
    Powerball: Uses the Apsalus as a ramming bot. 4 hits. Any of 8 directions. Spins while charging
    Desert Gorge: Flies straight up, off screen, then falls at a selected point.
    MS Buster Mines: Drops a group of 8 explosives out of itself.
    Basic Throw: None
    Bonus Abilities: Fly At Will, Super Armor Max, No Blocking, All Moves in Mid-air, Cannot Drain
    Launcher: None

    Hyper Attacks:
    Zeon Disaster: Rises and fires a laser downward, causing a massive line of explosions. 20 hits (S)
    Heat Melting Cannon: Fires a huge cannon blast that covers nearly all of the screen. 57 hits (F)
    EMP Field: Surrounds the Apsalus in an energy field that renders it invincible.

    Enter: The Ball lowers from the ceiling, glowing with electrical currents
    Victory: The Apsalus grows legs and walks away
