ok, my good friend brigid p. called me on this one, and i felt that i needed to clear some things up. on my beliefs page, i say that i am *not a christian per se*. what i mean is that while my belief system is founded in christianity (i was born, baptized, and raised a good lutheran gurl), i have added a lot of things to this foundation. mainly from buddhism (my veganism, animal activism, and love of meditation), wicca (*an it harm none, do as ye will*- this includes physical or mental harm to yourself or others), hindu (one god who appears in many forms), and taoism (synchronicity, following the way of nature, letting things happen when they're suppoused to"). a lot of people don't understand this. i have trouble with this b/c it's a very long answer to *what religion are you?*. i do believe in God, and i always will. i am very accepting of other people's religions, and this confuses SOME PEOPLE who can't fathom being friends with anyone who doesn't follow their religion. but to wrap this up, i am a christian. i'm sorry if i've confused anyone or if my *adding things* to my christianity insults you. *****MORE RELIGIOUS MEANDERINGS***** this year i am in theology 4, world religions. i personally enjoy it, but some people do not. and this disturbs me. i am insulted when people say, *who cares?* about learning different religions. how do you think 50% of my school feels learning about catholicism? if you want your beliefs respected, respect those of others.
