How did you get into Wicca?: Around 6 years ago I was looking around in the library and I just found a book on the real thing. Ironically the upsurge of Harry Potter was coming into play and hey! I was curious! This sort of gave me some background reading while I was working on other stuff and has been bought to the foreground over many of those 6 years.
What type of Wicca do you practice?: I practice Eclectic Wicca, but I've been interested in many European traditions for some time and will be doing lots of research very soon and this will be put up on my page at a later date. I am leaning towards Germanic Wicca though.
Do your parents believe in Wicca?: No, my mother is Catholic and my dad is Uniting Church (I suppose that is catholic...). Mum doesn't care what I do with my religion and my dad is very touchy about the subject, but we all seem to get along alright with each other. Sometimes they make jokes on my behalf "Hey I got you a new broom!" or "Want a new robe!" Yeah, it's pretty crazy!
What about your friends?: Some of them know, some of them don't. One of my friends is Wiccan too, but we seem to keep it low key. One of my other friends wants to start learning about it, and I am helping her because she doesn't quite know where to start. She is pretty lucky, I had no one!
Why make this webpage?: I decided to make a web page because I wanted to make a basic, nice looking, clear and informative page for beginning Wiccans out there. Some pages look downright scary and "forbidden" to some people, and cause concern to parents. I want this to be a page for anyone and everyone.
