Everything
Everything I do is just below you. I don’t quite measure up;
I can’t quite keep up. Everything I do is just not as great; you can do better.
You can do everything, can’t you? I’ll
take the back seat and be the quite passenger. I’ll let myself down from
everything I ever wanted to do. Everything I do is just not as wonderful. I just couldn’t quite
make it to the top. Everything I do is just what I can do; and it’s not quite
enough. I should just stop my worrying, everything is just quite alright. I can sit quietly; I can smile
and play the perfect wife. I can play any part as long as you give it to me. Everything I do is just for your amusement, but I couldn’t
quite make you laugh.
Everything was for nothing. I can’t do anything--can’t do one thing. But you
most certainly can.
I’ll let you be the man, ‘cause it’s everything—to you.
Everything was to try and please you, but not everything can
go our way.
But I can always get up and go…
Everything I do is just not quite where you want it to be.
Everything I do is just not quite as good as it use to be.
