Perfect love and perfect trust
In my heart have begun to rust
Hope and faith are wearing thin
Where did this darkness begin?
I feel myself turn away from the light
Where is the girl I once knew?
Who saw the world in a brighter hue
Buried by pain, tears falling like rain
The world passing as I free fall
Shattered, like a porcelain doll
Dear Goddess, let my spirit renew
Return me to that girl I once knew
I pray that it’s not too late
To try and lift this weight
Allow my heart to shine its light
Restore the hope that once burned bright
Tide goes out, circle goes around
I find myself a bit of solid ground
Hope and faith can begin to grow
My heart flies as high as it had sunk low
And I start to wipe away the rust
That had gathered on my perfect love and perfect trust.
