Rejected
He sat in the corner
Staring into space
Sadness and grief
Evident
on his face
His parents rarely spoke to him
He never knew why
No matter what he did
They were never satisfied
He didn’t know of love
Because they’ve never cared for him
His parents were never there
He was often all alone
There was always a mysterious “something”
Standing in between them
It prevented his parents
From getting close to him
Then today he found out
What that something was
It was lingering memories
Of their long dead son
He overheard them talk
Of how much they loved that boy
Nothing could replace him
Not even his clone…
