My first alteration!

Ok, so it's nothing fancy. All I did to this little gem was make the eyes flash red and green alternately. The original image was static with just red eyes. This has been the main image that I have been using on my bulletin board to let the users know if there's new posts.

Yee Haw!

This liittle galloping stalion I had created for one of my good onlien friends, Chrissy. I got the horse gif, itself, off of the net. It originally had a plain white background that I had found rather blah. So, I went ahead and replaced all that boring white with one of my own backgrounds that I created from scratch. It turned out rather nicely, even if I do say so myself. :)

Bang! Bang!

To the left is a fake picture I had made of my good friend of 6 years, Eva. Although, not being the first fake picture that I've made, it is the only one that I have currently. Dummy me, got rid of the other one that I had done. :)

This picture mainly came out of that of boredom. I'm an avid X-files fan, and with curiosity driving me, I set out to see what it would look like to replace Gillian Anderson's face with Eva's.

First thing I did in the making of it was to remove everything in the original photo of Eva, except for the face, which was then superimposed over that of Gillian's. Next, I had to go through the process of removing all of the background, including any of Gillian's hair. This was to be replaced by a picture I had grabbed from the net of a variation of the "I Want To Believe" poster that hangs in Mulder's office.

It was really looking good now, but it was still not quite finished. I usually do all of my background removal and erasing with the Adobe Photo Deluxe. That being done, it was time to switch gears and do some touch up work, which I usualy do with MGI Photosuite. Both Gillian and Eva being redheads with similar skin tones, there wasn't a whole lot to do with the touch up. Mainly around the lower neck and chest areas were all that was needed.

All in all, it was one of the most complex fakes, that I have done to date. I was quite pleased with the final results and perhaps I may do some more things in the future along this vein. If done in good taste, fakes can give you a bit of rush to see someone you know in a setting that they might not have a chance to be in under normal cicumstances.
