I'll know when everything feels right
I'm finally getting around to listening to my Christmas presents, in particular M. Ward's Post-War, which I have decided I love. It's slow and moody and just really, really good. I can't decide if my favorite song is the titular Post-War or if it's the slightly more rocking Requiem. (Is it funny that the requiem is the more upbeat song? I think it is.) I first discovered the disc when Facetiously Me linked to a streaming version of it (which I can no longer find), but I held out for the gift-giving season. I kind of wish I hadn't, but it's certainly getting my new year off to a good start. (As is my new Snow Patrol, new Damien Rice, and old Otis Redding.)
