For www.NewsHosting.com, if you have problem "441 Article too big for this server" error, then try to change the yEncPowerPost's port to 9000 or other port instead of default port 119.

For www.AstraWeb.com, if you have problem "441 Article too big for this server" error, then try to change the yEncPowerPost's "Default Max Lines Per Part" to 3000.

A. Tool Required

1) First Make RAR Files https://www.angelfire.com/gundam/newsgroupguide/winrar.html

2) QuickPar
- goto http://www.quickpar.org.uk/ to get the latest version

3) Yenc PowerPost - goto http://www.powerpost.cjb.net/ to get the latest version

B. Prepare to Post

Part 1 - Spliting files - using QuickPar split method

Before upload to newsgroup we need to split large files into smaller files... After that we create PAR2 files from those smaller files...

QUOTE("QuickPar")
The reason that splitting large files is recommended is mainly because of the fact some newsreaders and newservices, do not permit users to download files with missing articles as incomplete files. The larger the file, the greater the effective loss this causes and the greater the amount of PAR2 files that would be required for a repair. Additionally, some newsreader programs operate better when downloading multiple small files than they do with single large files (because of the way they allocate file and article downloads when using multiple connections to newsservers).

There are currently two practical methods for spliting the files before upload: WinRar and HJSplit (or WSplit, MasterSplitter, etc...)

However, these methods required to install additional software like WinRar, HJSplit, WSplit, MasterSplitter, etc...

Now, you can have QuickPar split the files for you at the same time that it creates the PAR2 files.

For joining, user just need to click the PAR2 file and they're able to join the file using QuickPar without using any other softwares...

QUOTE("QuickPar")
You can have QuickPar split the files for you at the same time that it creates the PAR2 files. Just click the "Split Files" checkbox and enter a figure for the size you want to limit the splits to. The size you enter will be used as a guide for the actual size used. The actual split size will be an exact multiple of the block size. This ensures that all articles posted to UseNet contain a whole block.

Here is the steps

1) Open and change the QuickPar options as following picture

QUOTE("QuickPar")
It is strongly recommended that you choose a block size that is either equal to or an exact multiple of the article posting size which you plan to use with your news-posting software. When you do this, a single missing article will only require the use of one block of recovery data for repair. If the block size is not an exact multiple of the article size, then it is highly likely that downloaders will need to fetch two recovery blocks to repair one missing article. This means that they are forced to download twice as much recovery data.

2) Add file to QuickPar:

Note: if you're about to post the whole DVD, then instead adding those DVD VIDEO_TS VOB files to QuickPar, it is better to create an ISO for the DVD... You can use the free ImgTool to create the ISO file... After finish creating the ISO file, you can add it to the QuickPar for spliting...

Download ImgTool for creating ISO file from VIDEO_TS folder

You can either launch QuickPar.exe and click Add Files button or right mouse on the file to bring up the QuickPar shell extension context menu like this (you need to check the "Integrate QuickPar into Shell" option).

3) Split and create PAR2 files

a) Click the "Split Files" checkbox and enter a figure for the size you want to limit the splits to (ex. 40,320,000 bytes ~ 40MB)

Note: Some news servers not allow big file size... So try to limit the split file size < 50,000,000 bytes ~ 50MB

QUOTE("QuickPar")
You should also ensure that the "Restrict block size to multiples of UseNet article size" checkbox is ticked.

You can adjust the number of recovery blocks or percentage of recovery... 10% of recovery is good enough...

B) Click create and wait until it finish split + create PAR2 file.

Part 2 - Configuring Yenc Power Post

For "Default Max Lines Per Part", you need to enter the same number as the one from QuickPar (Ex. 4500).

C. Posting

1) Add the files to be posted

If you add more than 255 files per message then some news server consider as SPAM and filter them out. So try to add < 255 files for each "Add Files".

For example, if you want to queue 800 files then you have to repeat "Add Files To Queue" 4 times

a) "Add Files To Queue"... select first 200 files
B) "Add Files To Queue"... select next 200 files
c) "Add Files To Queue"... select next 200 files
d) "Add Files To Queue"... select last 200 files

After you select files and click Open from the "Add Files To Queue" file browser... the post options dialog wil pop up...

2) Enter Subject Header Template

Note: try to put $F between double quote "$F". [$1/$2] tag must put after "$F", otherwise all the sorted subjects will be messed up when posting multiple episodes of the same series
==> Example of bad headers: Bad Headers 1, Bad Headers 2.

3) Select the Group to post to
