Warnings: Extreme measures of SAP. I think I made it overly sappy. Umm, there's shounen ai, lovey dovey, thoughts and little things here and there in the fic. Lyrics don't belong to me, they belong to Britney Spears from the song called I Will Be There. Oh, and this fic is called My Fair Gentleman.
Jay: Isn't that the title of --ooomppphhh!
Desly: *cuts off the last bit of duct tape* No need to tell anybody what happened or why I named it like that. Oh, by the way, Jay is a good friend of mine and it's HIS fault that I have a hentai mind now, ne? Well, he'll be popping up here and there in my fics.
Jay: *struggles* Ommph! Grroommpph rrrraaaphmmmphhhh whharrropppmmmphh! Oooommmaaeeophh kooorroooosummmph!
Desly: I can't hear ya! *evil laughter* On with the fic! Let's get out of here... *drags a tied up and bound Jay somewhere*

Heero and Duo reflect on their relationship in this fic. Oh yeah, this is a song fic. But the lyrics kinda don't match the mood sorta. Umm, yeah, that made a lot of sense. *sweatdrop*

Heero stood on top of Wing Zero's head as he viewed the mountain side.
'Duo...'
Heero looked out onto the country side with one thing on his mind and stood dazed. He figured this would be a short mission, but instead, the mission took its toll on Heero and almost brought him down for the first time. Maybe it was love that hurt him, maybe it was love that kept him through the fierce battle because he wanted to stay alive for the one he loved.
Or so he thought. But he knew his lover would never doubt him.

Duo sat down on the grass with an apple in hand. He gazed up into the late afternoon sky. He brushed off a bit of dirt from his blue shorts and his white long sleeved, loosely buttoned up shirt that was open at the neck.
'Heero... come back to me... alive... please...'
Stars and space. That's what it was and consisted of. Halfway around the world, Heero was probably looking up into the sky too. He'd seen Duo do this all the time and finally took some time to do it himself.
'Absence makes the heart grow fonder...'
Those words echoed through out Duo's mind and drifted around into the sky that Duo gazed at, as the sun smiled on him while he munched on an apple.
'Yes, maybe absence DOES make the heart grow fonder...'

Heero mentally urged Wing Zero fly faster to the next safehouse. He wanted to see Duo, give him a big hug and be in his arms, but was unable to. He promised to himself that he would be there for Duo all the time.
Still being several countries from his destination, he put it on Auto Pilot and drifted into sleep that was full of violet eyes.
Heero re-awoke to find Wing Zero crossing the last country and slowly zooming into a quiet solitary country side in France, outside the outskirts of Paris. He switched off the Auto Pilot and touched down onto the ground manually. From there, he quickly accessed the secret underground compound that stored the other gundams. He landed Wing Zero next to Deathcythe Hell and jumped out of the cockpit.
'To hell with taking a shower, I need to see Duo,' flashed through Heero's mind as he wearily made his way out of the underground compound and onto above ground.
He walked over a little ways to a small grassland and saw the safehouse. He quickly made his way to it and found it vacant of people. His eyes feverishly darted around the building until he saw a figure sitting in the sunset's rays, munching on an apple. Heero looked at the cores that sat by Duo and figured he was a little more than just hungry.

There ain't nothing that I wouldn't do

Duo sighed as he finished the last apple in his hand and threw it to his left side. He closed his eyes and his hand reached over to his braid to grasp it. He loosened the tie and snapped it off to free his braid from its bounded tie. He shook his head slightly and his braid came unparted.
'Heero, I wish you were here with me. The sunset here is so beautiful...'
His hair cascaded down to his waist and lazily draped itself to Duo's body, shimmering in the sunset's rays. Gold, orange, red and brown hues highlighted the hair strands, one by one, as the sun began its descent to sleep. A warm wind came from the south and curled his bangs, caressing his forehead in doing so.
His eyes were lowered and his lashes curled thickly amongst themselves. A speck of violet blue glinted and glowed from his eyes and glazed over with admiration for the scenery. The slight curve above the eyelashes tightened and slowly relaxed from its tense state. He raised his face towards the sun, hoping to catch more of its warmth and beauty.

Heero leaned against a tree and slowly took in the sight in front of him. It was beautiful, stunning and gorgeous. He had never seen something like this before in his entire life. Not even all of Relena's wealth could ever come close to buying anything so priceless.
The longing on his face, the wind twirling his hair around his body with such emotion and the white shirt glowed in the late rays of the sun. It was like looking at a goddess who created an euphoria around itself so beautifully and so great, nothing could compare to it.
The scent in the air was gingerly spiced by the flowers in the nearby meadow. Petals were loosened from the flowers' grasp by the passing wind and flew across the sky. Rose petals, tulips, violets, golden meadows and other petals swirled around Duo's body, enhancing the beauty even more.
Heero's breath was caught in his throat as the petals passed by him. His hand caught a white rose, its petals swaying in the wind and its scent indented heavily in the air. He raised it up to his eyes to inspect it and his eyes looked it over with gratitude.

Duo shifted himself on the grass and the wind picked up again. His long hair flew up into the air and the heavy scent of flowers reached his nose. He was breathless. The smell was exotic and extremely romantic. His thoughts quickly turned towards Heero again.
'Where are you? Its practically sinful to sit here without you...'
A flower brushed up against his hand and tugged at his shirt. He looked at it in surprise and smiled broadly. A violet wisteria flower. So rare, so rich, so exquisite. So fitting. It was almost as if God had heard him and wanted to comfort him at the most. He grasped the flower and put it behind his ear.
Simple moments and simple things were usually forgotton. It took time for people to finally realize that such little things could ease a person; to destress and just do nothing. Going into that childish fantasy world and coming out refreshed. Rejuvenated to the bone, physically and mentally.
[I will be there]
Heero fingered the rose in his hand.
'A white rose. It signifies love, eternal love...'
It took him only a moment to realize that and crept towards the sitting figure.

Heero slowly sauntered to Duo, as to hoping he wouldn't do anything.
He didn't do anything. He was too busy admiring the beauty and in his own little world of rapturous dreams.
Heero smiled and quietly sat behind Duo. The wind began to caress his hair as well and he inhaled slowly. He had missed Duo's scent and wanted to keep it in mind. A simple pleasure.
Being so close to an angel was breathtaking. It was time to give the angel a hug.

Duo was daydreaming. He was in Heero's arms once again and was celebrating the end of the war. Sunsets, candy, flowers and other chaste things as well, filled his mind to the brim.
He noticed his back was beginning to warm up and that only happened when Heero was near him. Was he? Duo decided to let it slide, he'd indulge on it later.
A familiar hand snaked itself across his waist and gently pulled him into a big teddy bear hug. He recognized another scent in the wind. Heero. He snuggled up against the body behind him and smiled. He opened his eyes to find a hand holding a white flower in front of him.
'Aww, a flower. For me. That's sooo sweet of him.'
He took the flower into his hands and smiled broadly. He fingered the slender stem and inhaled its aroma it omitted. It was a simple pleasure. He painstakingly turned around to find warm blue eyes staring into his own. He leaned over to Heero and gave him a tantalizing kiss.

Heero leaned into the kiss, gently probing Duo's mouth with his tongue. Ecstasy filled his mind and his hands pulled Duo closer to him. He had missed him so much. The very reason why he wasn't fond of single missions anymore, especially, now that he had a precious thing called love.
He wasn't going to let it get away from him. Never.
He felt Duo leaning against him, his back to his own chest and with his neck arched to meet his own lips. A smile came to his face, unbiddened and finally broke the kiss to breathe.
"Hi, Duo. I made it back in one piece."
He felt Duo's eyes twinkle back at him and was tackled down onto the grass.

Duo sighed contently as he draped himself over Heero's body, taking in the sight and nuzzled against his body. Heero still had his arms around him and the sun was in full color.
Dark reds, light browns and orange colors filled the country side with its auras. The sun was more than eighty five percent complete from setting and a warm wind began to take its place instead.
Duo lifted his head to look at Heero.
"I'm glad you're back. Missed you a lot."
He was greeted with a smile and another warm kiss.
"Me too."

Sap sap sap! Argghhhhh! To let you know, I just finished watching a very sappy episode of Clamp Campus Detectives and it REALLY influenced me in this fic. I'm going to kill you Jay! Omae o korosu!
Jay: *appears* Huh? Where am I? Wasn't I just tied up? Desly, why am I here? Uhhh ohhh, that look on your face doesn't look good...
Desly: *whips out a huge ass mallet from hammer space* Because YOU are the one that lent me that tape of Clamp and I'm gunna CLAMP this mallet on you!
Jay: *runs* Hey! It's not my fault! Ahhh!
Desly: *emits war cries a la Xena* OH ALALALALALALALA! Hiiiiiiiyaaaaaahhhh!
Duo & Heero: *watches them run*
Wufei: *crosses arms* That woman has no honor whatsoever. Chasing an unarmed man! For the sake of Nataku! But at least he has honor because he has no wishes to not fight the woman for she is weak.
Desly: SHUT UP WU-MAN! *runs*
Jay: *still running* AHHHHHH!!!!! Desly! I didn't mean to! Honestly! Put the mallet down! I think you're taking this way out of porportion!
Desly: *eyes glow green and yellow* Get your happy ass over here! I need to whack you upside your head for that tape you lent me! You didn't warn me about the SAP it contained!
Quatre: *appears* Oh, wow! I haven't talked to you guys in ages! Desly kept Trowa and I waiting someplace! Well, at least we weren't bored. *smile*
Trowa: *nod* Hai.
