Unbraided Interest
*Notes: My first song ficcy! ^_^* Hee hee hee! I typed this up while I was in the mood. Enjoy! This song is from N Sync, it's a nice song. The song was called 'This I Promise You' and erm, well, in case you didn't know. I don't own it, and don't go and sue me either. I have no moolah so there.
This fic is called Unbraided Interest.

[ a scene pops up and stops at a swinging braid ]
Duo is sitting under a protective shady tree, away from the angry glare of the sun. His gundam is sitting aways off, but hidden very carefully. He watches a short haired stony faced figure inspect the Wing Zero and watches the figure fix broken parts to the gundam and smirks silently.
When the visions around you,
Bring tears to your eyes
And all that surround you,
Are secrets and lies
[ Duo remembers what had happened a week or so ago and re-remembers and re-lives it in a day dream ]
Duo watches his screen as the Wing Zero plunge into a deep bay, battered by endless Oz forces.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
[ Flash back to a wet Duo dragging an unconscience Heero onto a sandy beach and into a cove ]
Duo's eyes well up in pain as he lays Heero on a blanket. He rushes around, bandaging Heero's broken bones and wounds. He then sits by Heero, his hand in his hand, patiently waiting.
I'll be your strength,
I'll give you hope,
Keeping your faith when it's gone
The one you should call,
Was standing here all along.
[ Flash back to where Heero wakes up and struggles to get up, but Duo refrains him ]
Heero bangs his hand on his bed, angry and disappointed. Duo stops him and tells him it wasn't his fault that Oz overwhelmed them with more than 500 mobile suits.
Heero falls back into bed grumpily. Duo pats him on the shoulder and reassures him with a grin.

[ Flash to the beachy cove, where Heero is sitting, slowly recovering ]
Heero sits on a flat rock, overlooking the bay in his normal green tank and black spandex shorts. He starts to shiver when an icy cold wind blows by him, whipping his clothes around him. Duo silently walks by Heero and sits next to him.
He tugs off the black band holding his braid in place. It unfurls, revealing it’s splendor and served as a blanket for him and Heero. Heero unconsciencously leans over and rests his head on Duo’s shoulder, slowly slumbering into sleep. Duo smiles.

[ Another battle commences. Deathcythe and Wing Zero causing havoc, paying tenfolds to the Oz mobile suits that damaged them before ]
"I can't let ya live now that ya seen me, eh? Well then! You're going to hell while I'm at it!" Duo shouted as he sliced through 5 mobile dolls.
Heero glances at the monitor, silently watching over Duo and wreaked havoc with his gundam, Wing Zero.
I give you my word

This is a battle we've won
And with this vow,
Forever has now begun...
[ Heero dragging a bleary eyed Duo to their new hideout ]
"Geeezzz... I think I may have overdone it this time, heh heh-- OWW!" Duo yelped.
"Shut up. You have a broken leg and several broken ribs." Heero adjusts Duo on his shoulder so that Duo's face is almost hidden in Heero's hair.
"Well look who's talking! At least I'm being HUMAN! OW! Grr... at least I can't walk when a BONE is popped out of my LEG! OW! Grr... and pop the bone back in! OWW! " Duo ranted back into Heero's hair.
"Hn," Heero carries Duo into the shelter and shuts the door.

[ Duo is slumbering silently on a bed, Heero watches out a window, even though he is looking at Duo by the window's reflection ]
Duo twists and turns in bed in agony. He turns several times, then falls back to slumber. Heero averts his gaze to Duo, feeling strange. He walks over to Duo and places his hand on Duo's forehead. His hand carelessly slides down Duo's face onto his cheek, as if he felt his hand, Duo's face leans more comfortably onto Heero's hand. Heero freezes, in shock of his actions. Then he musters a smile, barely. He sits next to Duo on the bed, attending to Duo's bandages.
Over and over I fall

I just wouldn't be living at all...
[ Heero is repairing Wing Zero outside while Duo is eating and resting in the safehouse ]
Duo inhales pancakes and a box of pizza which had misteriously popped up out of nowhere. 'WOW! I wonder how Heero knew I liked pizza?' Duo wondered. He gulps down two cans of coke along with it and then burps. He cleans everything up and sets out to look for Heero.
"Heeeeerrrro!" Duo calls out into the wind.
Heero looks up from the Wing Zero and looks toward the direction of the voice. He smirks silently. 'So the braided baka can move again' he thinks. He goes back to work, hearing Duo's footsteps towards his gundam.

[ Another battle is in play, but this one is just enough for the gundams to get scratched ]
"AAAAAARRRRHHHHHHHHHHHHHHGGGG! You BASTARDS! Hitting me from behind! YOU ARE GOING TO PAY!" roars Duo in Deathcythe. He spins his cythe dangerously and goes psycho, almost like he was back in the Wing Zero system's control, there he wreaked havoc and brought soldiers to hell in crowds.
Heero's face image suddenly pops up on the screen.
"Duo, stop. We finished our mission. We got to go," Heero reminded Duo.
"Eh??? Waaah? Oops!" Duo's cute face looked mischeviously shocked as he glanced at the scattered remains of the mobile suits he had just demolished.
Heero couldn't help but smirk and a small smile appeared on his usual dull features as Duo watched the screen. Duo watches in facination and his face slowly burned to a blush.
Heero nods his head and flies towards their next hideout, Duo following him.

[ Duo wakes up from his day dream grinning, and walks onto a sandy beach, unknown to him that Heero is following him ]
Duo kicks off his shoes and socks. He takes off his black 'priest' garb and pants and throws them by his shoes. He strips off his white shirt, revealing his neatly muscled torso exposed to the salty air... and to Heero's hungry eyes. With only his trunks, he dives into the water.
Heero followes the same suit, but leaves only his shorts on and cautiously dives after Duo. He lurkes behind Duo very quietly.
Duo comes up for air and feels like he's being spied on. He whirls around and looks shocked.
"Heero?!! What are you doing here?!!" Duo looks admiringly at Heero's physical features and blushes furiously.
Heero looks at Duo right in the eye and steps forward. Duo steps back. Heero gives him the Get-Your-Happy-Ass-Over-Here look. Duo blinks furiously and blushes redder, but doesn't move. Heero rolls his eyes and quickly steps in front of Duo, grabs him by his shoulders and gives Duo a surprisingly soft kiss on the lips.
"Mmmmppphhhhmmm............." Duo managed kissing back.

[ Heero and Duo standing by each other in front of the sea shore while the sun sets, turning the skyline red ]
Duo smirks and grabs Heero for a kiss, but Heero grabs Duo's waist and hungrily kisses him. He pulls off the black band holding Duo's hair and runs his hand through the golden brown waves. Duo smiles a genuine smile and wraps both arms around Heero's neck. They kiss into oblivion.
