After seeing DJ Swamp on tour with Beck in 1997, Adam White decided that DJing was his bag baby! Soon after he started his career with a Fisher-Price turntable and an Aerosmith Greatest Hits record. Since then he has come a long way. He spent several years as a bedroom DJ before getting his first big break opening for the legendary Secret Garden party at the Copy Cat warehouse. Becoming fed up with the lack of gigs in the area he decided to throw his own trilogy of successful parties at the former 2029 Bar & Lounge. Adam went on to throw a series of weekly parties at Montego Bay climaxing with the Playboy Party. He later teamed up with the Foundation crew to help promote "Believe" and "Mint" at Redwood Trust and "Cement" at Club Orpheus. Adam managed Friday nights and other special events at Galaxy upon its opening in 2004. He has won dj contests at Shortys and the Paradox. He has spun alongside DJs Dara, Feelgood, Scott Henry, Confucius(RabbitintheMoon), East Coast Boogiemen, J-Smooth, John Tab, DJ Sun, Jen Lasher, Slant, & Terry Kilby (IXIS). Adam has spun at many of the major venues and events in the B'mo/DC area including the Paradox, Starscape, Kobe, Trust, Shortys, Nation, ALIAS, the DC Tunnel, Galaxy, Space, and the Copy Cat Warehouse. His style is best described as funky, eclectic, and party-oriented. Usually he can be found spinning his unique blend of house, hip-hop, & breaks, with splashes of tribal drum beats, but has been known to throw down anything from 80s classics to the 1812 Overture (with style)! His DJ influences include: Feelgood, Scott Henry, Carl Cox, Derrick May, H-Foundation, John Digweed, Donald Glaude, Scott Hardkiss, Bad Boy Bill, Grooverider, Dieselboy, Mark Farina, ColdCut, DJ Dan, Premier, Jazzy Jeff, Swamp, Q-Bert, and Craze. Other influences are: Beck, Jimi Hendrix, James Brown, Rage Against the Machine, White Zombie, Parliament Funkadelic, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Igor Stravinsky, Bob Marley, Pantera, Mary Jane, Alcohol, Dre and Snoop. This DJ is sure to deliver the primal funk straight to your dome soon at a party near you!
