A ruling has been made on the Shockey/McAllister/Julius Jones controversy and below is the email that was sent out to Green Bay, Buffalo, and Chicago on the matter. Also I am calling a trade/transaction stoppage till June 7th while I work on revising and thoroughly updating our rule book.

Here is my final decision on the Shockey/Jones/McAllister issue. I have put much thought into this decision and have come up with the following. I am declaring Jeremy Shockey, Julius Jones, and Deuce McAllister all free agents. On draft day, there names will all be placed into the hat and drawn out randomly along with the other players. However when their names are drawn only the Buffalo Stallions, Chicago Cougars, and Green Bay Cheese may bid on them, and they are restricted to one year contracts. In the event that a coach of you 3 does not win one of those 3 players, yet attempts to bid on at least one of them, I will award you a non-tradable compensatory 1st round pick in the 2007 draft. I apologize for any confusion or animosity amongst you's that my rule book may have caused and I will have it thoroughly corrected prior to the start of this season. I feel that this ruling allows the 3 of you to all have a chance at whatever one of the players you want and whoever wants them the most will get them. This decision is final. Jerry

Today I am proud to announce that Ray Cooney is the new owner for The Green Bay Cheese. Ray participated in The FFL from 1992-1996 and was the 1996 FFL Champion. He currently is a sports writer in Indiana and will do his very best to attend the draft this summer. You can reach Ray at his email, cooneyrj@yahoo.com, and unlike the past Cheese owner, he actually checks his regularly. Once again, we welcome Ray into the league and I believe this is a historic day for the league as we have definately upgraded our ownership ranks with his addition.
