I'd like to thank all those who attended the draft lottery... which means I thank absolutely none of ya. I realize some of you have excuses for not making it. For instance I didn't really expect The Minnesota Warriors owner to fly in from California for the event, or maybe you had a special dinner planned... I understand, but I expected at least a couple of you who live locally to maybe stop by, even if you don't care all that much about the lottery then to maybe just hang out a bit. Some of you I haven't seen or talked to for months, don't even return phone calls. Some of you I've been lucky to even get a lineup from. And there's some of you... nevermind. The point is this... If any of you have a problem with me or this league or simply don't care to participate anymore then let me know and I'll grab my list of people who'd like to join the league and replace you. Now onto other matters.

One day shy of his 29th birthday I'd like to congratulate George Zilka, owner of The Buffalo Stallions, on winning the 2007 FFL Draft Lottery. I'd also like to congratulate James Stockard, owner of The Oakland Choppers for his trade made back on October 7th, 2006 when he acquired Buffalo's 1st round pick in the 2007 draft (along with Warrick Dunn) for Jamal Lewis and Oakland's 2nd round pick in 2007. Here now is the official order for The 2007 FFL Draft:

Round 1

1. Oakland Choppers (acquired in trade from Buffalo)
2. New York Freedom
3. Minnesota Warriors
4. Oakland Choppers
5. Los Angeles Quake
6. Cincinnati Scrubs
7. Green Bay Cheese
8. Pittsburgh Pride
9. Buffalo Stallions (acquired in trade from Chicago)
10. Green Bay Cheese (acquired in trade from Miami)
11. Chicago Cougars (compensatory nontradable pick)

Round 2

12. Buffalo Stallions
13. New York Freedom
14. Minnesota Warriors
15. Buffalo Stallions (acquired in trade from Oakland)
16. Los Angeles Quake
17. Cincinnati Scrubs
18. Green Bay Cheese
19. Pittsburgh Pride
20. Chicago Cougars
21. Buffalo Stallions (acquired in trade from Miami)

April 11th, 2007
The Chicago Cougars have re-signed Carson Palmer (3 years, 12 million), Ladainian Tomlinson (3 years 20 million), and Chad Johnson (3 years 14 million). Tomlinson joins Peyton Manning as the highest paid players in FFL history and becomes the highest ever paid runningback surpassing the mark set by Shaun Alexander just 2 days ago. By re-signing these players The Cougars have relinquished the restricted free agent rights to Byron Leftwich, Tony Romo, Laveranues Coles, Larry Fitzgerald, Bernard Berrian, Chris Henry, Desmond Clark, Robbie Gould, and Josh Scobee.

The New York Freedom have re-signed Edgerrin James (3 years, 16 million), Torry Holt (3 years 16 million), and Alge Crumpler (3 years 11 million). By doing so The Freedom have relinquished the restricted free agent rights to Daunte Culpepper, Noah Herron, Reggie Williams, and Nate Kaeding.

April 10th, 2007
The Buffalo Stallions have re-signed Rudi Johnson to a 3 year deal worth 15 million dollars. By re-signing Johnson he has relinquished restricted free agents rights to Jamal Lewis, Terrell Owens, Reggie Wayne, Roy Williams, Jeremy Shockey, Adam Vinatieri, Matt Stover, and John Hall.

April 9th, 2007
The Buffalo Stallions have re-signed Peyton Manning and Shaun Alexander each to 3 year deals. Mannings deal, for 20 million, makes him the highest paid player in FFL history, surpassing the deal that Javon Walker received last year. Shaun Alexander, now making 16 million, becomes the FFL's highest paid runningback ever.

April 2nd, 2007
The Oakland Choppers have re-signed Marvin Harrison (3 years 16 million), Anquan Boldin (3 years 14 million), and Brandon Jacobs (3 years 4 million). Since Boldin and Harrison's contracts are more then 4 million 25 percent of it is guaranteed against the cap in the event either should be cut in the next 3 years. By re-signing these players Oakland has relinquishe the rights to re-sign Charlie Frye, David Garrard, Dallas Clark, Jeff Wilkins, and Sebastian Janikowski.
