Jayden is the son of Vincent Valentine and Aeris Gainsborough. After the events involving Meteor and Sephiroth, Vincent traveled to the City of the Ancients and retreived Aeris' body.
After days of research, Vincent and the scientists at ShinRa (under new management, of course) found a way to restore Aeris' life.
He had married the ninja, Yuffie and had another son, Adrian.
They were married and started a family, but Vincent was not happy, he left his wife and son. For ten years Jayden grew up without a father, his father made contact with him on his fifteenth birthday.
Jayden's mother was visited by Cloud and Tifa Strife later that year, their daughter had been kidnapped six years ago, all attempts to find her had been futile.
