Zac-"Holy crap!"
"Oh my god....! Lizzy, do you know what time it is?" We hear. She turns and we both see her mother running up to us.
"What the hell were you thinking?" Mrs. Beaumonté asks her. "Zachary, I should think your parents are worried sick! I am so mad at you two!" she sighs. "Herbie is sleeping, in the younger kids' room, so...I suppose we should get a room as well, for whatever is left of the night."
"Oh, no! You don't have to do that...It's too much money, just, spend the night in our bus. I mean, it's not really being used." I say, and she looks at me curiously, and then glances at Liz and my hands which are intertwined with one another.
She smiles, and we know that we are forgiven. Then, we all make our way towards the bus.
"Zac...Where the hell were you?" Ike asks me when I quietly walk in the door. Him and Taylor are sitting around in the dark. Tay's by the window, staring off into space, and Isaac is laying on the couch.
"What are you guys, my parents?" I ask, and I change my shirt. "No, you know what? Don't answer that, That's just asking to be put in therapy. Why are you guys up so late?"
Ike sniffles, and pretends to cry, "We were so worried about you sweetie..." He says in a womans voice, "I was so afraid that you were in a ditch somewhere...laying in a crumpled heap after being violated and beaten."
"Shutup Ike. That sort of 'violation' isn't funny." Taylor says from his spot by the window.
"Well, if you girls don't mind, I'm gonna go to sleep early this morning. I've got a heavy day of sight seeing tomorrow." I say.
"I'll drink to sleeping, it's been a long day." Taylor says, then as he gets up, he adds, "Almost 24 hours, right Zac?"
"Yah." I say, "Almost, Tay."
We all fall asleep within ten minutes, but even in my dreams I cannot shake the feeling I have of pure happiness.
