    Jump #007 21OCT98

My 10 second delay. A beautifull sunset skydive. I let go of the strut and arch thousand, two thousand, three thousand (the horizon came into view) and I started (not intentionally) turning to the right, four thousand and woosh, I was on my back. five, six, seven, eight and I was still not able to get back stable. reach and pulled the pilot chute and rolled over for canopy deployment. I did several triple 360's and pulled my front risers down for loss of altitude and speed, as my finger were quite chilly. Did a great landing. Will have to repeat dive till I can do it stable. I have to throw my hips out when I arch and go to the boxman possition.

    Jump #006 14OCT98

My first "clear and pull" sky diving. I remember climbing out of the airplane and hanging from the strut. Rich, the jumpmaster and Sarah, my sky diving buddy (we are on the same jump and same point in training) watching me as I gave them a big smile and they returned the big smile. I knew that I was going to do well. I then gathered my thoughts and put my head back and let go. Arch thousand, look thousand, reach thousand (and it was right there), pull thousand, arch thousand and opening shock. The parachute that I packed, performed well (it opened). I did my primary canopy check, no line twist, released the brakes and had a beautiful full canopy over head. Then I celebrated by doing four triple 360-degree turns.
